Armadillidium gestroi. This is an Isopod (Rolly Pollies). These guys can get up to 3/4 inch long! They are always out and about taking care of the messes left behind by our reptiles. They also keep the soil healthy for the plants in our vivariums. Great add to a bioactive enclosure. They look good too!

I think I’ve become an emotional support human. This little girl won’t eat without a little attention. She had always been interested in her pinky mice but just wouldn’t eat them. For several months I had tried all of my feeding tricks to no avail. Three weeks ago during another of our pinky dance parties I was starting to losing hope as she tasted but refused another meal. Twenty minutes later… I reached in to give her a gentle rub before letting her be and apparently found her food on switch! Six meals later she still needs to sit in my hand but she’s putting on weight!

Don’t give up!!!
