So it’s particularly difficult for pet families to see other animals outside in the cold in winter and in the rain during summer.

Even the South African weather service has called for people to provide a place of warmth!

“A formidable cold air mass — driven by a strong ridging high-pressure system located to the west of South Africa — is expected to sweep across South Africa and parts of its neighbouring countries, including Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, and even Zimbabwe, from Wednesday through the week.

This system will bring widespread cold to bitterly cold conditions, including freezing nights, frost, icy winds, and even snow in high-lying areas.

While we prepare to stay warm, it's vital to remember those who rely on us — our pets and livestock.
