☀️Charlie is new to the Sunshine Pack! I started with him last Monday and by Friday he graduated into pack. He is a well mannered, great demeanor, and eager to learn. If you couldn’t tell— he already loves his pack walks. The photo from today true shows how proud, comfortable, and confident he feels in the pack. He is definitely the coolest new kid on the block. Welcome, Charlie! ☀️❤️

💔 It’s taken time to process this one. And I’m still trying to process. We lost another beautiful soul a week and a half ago. Gracie Girl— today you would have been 12.

Gracie has been a huge part of my life and pack for several years. Her and her family grew to be like family to me as well. I thought she’d live forever. She was so full of life, energy, and was an athlete. She would do “cartwheels” to her elevator after every walk because she knew an afternoon treat and her mom would be waiting after her walks. She was Raya’s best friend. She was also one of my best friends. She truly was one of the greatest souls I’ve ever met. I still have yet to put that final nail in the coffin by removing her from my schedule, including the many boarding visits lined up in the upcoming months. Gracie’s presence will not only be sorely missed by her family, myself, and the pack— but also missed by my own loved ones who have met her. She was a dog that frequently boarded with me so she got to know my family and friends very well. She would greet everyone who would walk through my door when she would be boarding as if they were her own family members. She was a dog that everyone loved to see when they’d visit. She was the most gentle and sweetest girl. Her sudden loss is deeply felt and will always be felt. I love you so much Gracie Girl. You are forever in my heart and you were such a huge part of my life. Thank you for the companionship all these years. You’ll never be forgotten 💔

☀️Welcome back Malachi and Daisy aka Lady Furballl!! Malachi joined the pack last year, graduated into the pack very quickly and seamless when he was just about 8 months old. Shortly after he became a member— his family adopted Daisy. While she was too young to join the pack, she very clearly took notes when I arrived for her brother Malachi. As of Monday, they came back north for the season and Daisy started up with the pack and rocked her pack walk on the first go. Even their parents are beyond impressed and grateful 🥹. I’m happy to have you back my sweet, pups!☀️

☀️Oh to feel the sunshine again with my Sunshine Pack!! And to also have my CEO back in the pack!! My sweet girl is finally healed from her nail bed infection and she sure did miss her pack walks 😊.

This winter has progressively and continued to dump on us. Has continued to snow, has remained in the single digits, and the walking conditions are not ideal. However, not a single one of these pups have complained or refused to walk.

They are a daily reminder of what resilience truly is. They are a reminder that one day there will be less cold days and more warm days. That the sun will shine brighter and warmer on us. That the leaves on the trees will start to grow back, spring flowers will emerge from the depths of the soil, and we will hear the birds sing again.

However, I will continue to anxiously wait for that day because I am not nearly as patient as my packs. I will continue to wake up every morning and scream “WHY IT STILL WINTER?!” in my head, because I’m at the point in the season where all the joints in my hands hurt from being cold and I’m tired of feeling like walking in these conditions has become an Olympic Sport. I know I CAN’T be the only one who feels this way 😂😂.

We shall get through this. Because nothing is permanent and this is only a season ☀️
