Hi there! With so many new faces around, I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Heather, and I live in New Jersey. I started my little flock with just four hens back in 2019 when COVID began, and since then, it has grown to six chickens and five ducks—and it’s still growing! I’m a proud chicken and duck mom, a sourdough enthusiast, and a gardening lover. I enjoy sharing the tips and advice I’ve learned along the way from raising my flock. Chickens always need opportunities to forage for food. However, in these recent freezing temps the flock hasn’t been able to free range and forage. So when you have some left over straw, place it in the coop and pour some of their favorite treats inside the flakes. They will absolutely love it!
