This is Ruby! At 3 months old she developed food aggression. We worked with the owners Kim & Chip to stop the behavior & they fixed it within a week!! So proud of them! Ruby is an amazing little pup!

Ruby is one of our puppy’s we are training! We started training her at 8 weeks old when they brought her home. It’s not too young for an 8 week old to begin their journey to becoming a good citizen! Start them young so they develop good habits vs having to correct bad habits!

Please don’t walk your dogs in the middle of the day in this heat. Walk them early morning or late at night. Please don’t even leave them outside for a long time.

Your dog isn’t trained once they reach adulthood. It is a lifelong process. We train our dogs everyday in small ways. Our dogs are trained to stay on the porch so I will often make them stay & walk away. If they get off I put them right back on & tell them to stay with the hand signal.

We take our dogs on our trainings to teach the dogs we are training how to behave when meeting other dogs & to take them on a pack walk. Puppies can really learn how to behave from other well behaved dogs! Training is a lifelong process. I train my dogs on every walk.

We met Moby & his owner Leann for a walk at Lakeshore today. While we walked we retrained them. It’s always a great time to reinforce training on your daily walks!

There are actually 7 dogs on this walk! When walking your dog make sure you keep your arms at your side & relaxed. Dogs feed off your energy & if you are relaxed they will be. Check your arms from time to time while you are walking!!! It’s best to pick a side & walk them on that side. Makes your walks much easier!

This is why you create the barrier at the door and make them sit every time you go out. It’s so nice to leave our door open & not have to worry about them running away or following me!

It’s so important to walk your dogs everyday!! Not only for their health but to help with their energy level & mental health. It also creates a bond & trust. It is so important to have a strong bond & for your dog to have complete trust in you! Great group of dogs this weekend!

This is the reason I have my dogs sit at the door with it open before we go on a walk. It creates a barrier that they have to be invited outside. I walked to the garage & they just waited! Start making your dog sit at the door before you go out with them!
