We are an English Springer Spaniel kennel established in 2020. We are focused on breed preservation and betterment.

Spellcraft is an ESSFTA member focused on healthy, happy, and structurally sound dogs with good drive and temperament. Our dogs regularly showcase their abilities in performance events such as barn hunt, dock diving, agility, among others and show in conformation. Our belief is the best companions are dogs that go the extra mile to show what they can contribute to the breed.

Bourbon is out living the best life in beautiful California with his adoring family. Bourbon is turning out to be a sweetheart, much like his sire and dam, and working hard on several lessons in obedience at present. If I do say so myself - and I do - he's turning out to be quite the handsome guy to boot.

He was one of my biggest cuddlers when all the puppies still resided here, and based on the pictures it looks like that trait hasn't left him in the slightest. ♥

This weekend was truly a special one for me. Aspen and Salem got to come out and play at their first dock diving trial of the season. I genuinely was not expecting the results that we got.

Aspen, who is nearly 9 years old, achieved a personal best of 19'6" on Saturday. We certainly try not to push her hard now that she's a senior dog, but Aspy clearly has other ideas about what "retirement" mean for her. She's just as motivated and athletic as the best of them!

Salem also hit a staggering new record of 22'0" on Sunday! This was such a commemorative jump, as she earned her Masters in style. She has previously achieved her Senior and Senior Advanced, but I wasn't expecting us to sn**ch this title this weekend or possibly even ever.

We don't do it to be competitive with anyone but ourselves and to have a good time, but it has been truly exciting to know that my girls may make the Top 10 for the breed again this year. Salem may even place higher than before! I am really looking forward to seeing how the rest of the season goes and working on getting the younger dogs off the dock as well.

Hello, all!
For anyone looking to find us, we have a few events coming up in the next couple months.

June 7, 8: We will be at Jumping K9 Ranch in Kingman, AZ.
Salem will be participating, and I will be entering Arcana day-of if I can get her off the dock. Bramble will also be there with Amelia! Briar will likely attend just to hang out as well.

June 21, 22: We will be at Burbank Kennel Club in Industry, CA for a Conformation show. Arcana and Blitz will be showing. Kyber will also be in attendance with Danielle!

July 3, 4: There is a good probability we will be back in Kingman, but I am not entirely sure if we will be able to make it work yet. Stay tuned!

Two of the dogs got to enjoy their first paddle board outing this weekend! Blitz and Arcana both did so well for a day that was overcast and very windy. We were continually getting hit hard and tossed around, but they handled it like champions.

Blitz was definitely more interested in swimming than being on the board, but when he was on it he made sure to make his demands for the captain's seat (aka on my lap) very clear.

Arcana was a saint and sat beautifully, nice and still, for most of the run. She preferred the back where she could often comfortably rest her head on my shoulder.

Can't wait for more summer adventures this year!

Spellcraft's Hocus Pocus BCAT RATS DSA TKI TN-I TB-I UL-I SD-I VL-B "Salem"

Surely, I could not forget the photos of the girl who started it all! My little hellion had a wonderful time playing the game and earning her BCAT title over the early-May weekend. She always cracks me up with the intensity with which she runs, and the gleam in her eye that shows it all.
