I just received our win photos from the Flagstaff KC Show!

As a handler, breeder, and overall enthusiast I am still over the moon by how our dogs performed at this show. There is still so much I am looking forward to improving on: from my grooming and handling skills, to the dogs themselves. It's a journey I'm so grateful to be on, especially after the long road it's taken just to get here.

Much appreciation goes out to Michelle and Lilly for their assistance in and outside of the ring. They've been instrumental in my growing love for and fortitude in the Conformation ring from the beginning of my career. I wouldn't be here without their support.

Danielle, I also can't thank enough. This is only her third show and she has come so far as a handler. I can't imagine anyone else in this world with Kyber. She has also become a great friend and has helped with my ringside chaos in stride.

Thank you to our judges for the weekend, Louise Harris and Carolyn Herbel, for acknowledging my dogs and a great experience in the ring.

Thank you to photographer Bob Kohler for the pictures as well!

I posted these to my personal page already, but realized that I had not shared them here!

Congratulations again to my wonderful puppy owners on their successes this weekend. I am incredibly proud as both a breeder and friend.

Now we play the waiting game for our professional win photos. 🥰

This weekend, we attended Flagstaff Kennel Club's show and had an incredible time. We had a beautiful turnout of Spellcraft dogs. Thank you to the owners, families, handlers, judges, and volunteers that made this such a memorable show.

Clover, out of our Kimber entered her very first show with owner Christina and did a fantastic job with a 1st in the 6-9 Puppy Class.

The same can also be said for Blitz.

Our three puppies entered out of Salem also performed beautifully, and I am beyond thrilled.

Kyber went Best of Winners on the first day under judge Louise Harris for a 4 Pt Major with owner Danielle.

Arcana was Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite for both days, earning a few points toward her CH. We received some very wonderful compliments on her, but still need to work on confidence ringside.

Ambrose went Best of Winners on the second day under judge Carolyn Herbel for a 4 Pt Major.

Dunebug, the "elder" of this group, got to have a blast tagging along and participating. He took 2nd and later 1st in his class.

Wish us luck this weekend!

We will be attending another show with the biggest group of Spellcraft dogs to date this weekend. Out of our Salem and Poker breeding, we will have Kyber, Arcana, and Ambrose present. From Kimber and Dunebug, we will have Clover and Blitz showing. Dunebug will also be in attendance. I truly couldn't be more excited to have so much of the family all in one place.

More Blitz, enjoying the dirty dog life!

Danielle and I were able to spend the weekend out in California showing. I was unable to attend Friday, but Kyber received some lovely compliments from judge Doug Johnson.

Blitz very much behaved like the young puppy he is, but I was impressed by both Arcana and Kyber's performance with limited showing.

Against a group of lovely American dogs, there was no love for us on Saturday or Sunday. The judges were quite clear they did not fancy tailed entries. It was an informative experience all the same, and I appreciate the thoughtful and kind commentary of the spectators that inquired about our dogs. It is always such a rewarding experience getting to expose more of the conformation community to these lines of English Springer Spaniel.
