Lumpy Skin Disease (L*D) is an emerging viral disease that affects only cattle and water buffalo, caused by a Capripoxvirus.
Though mortality rates are low, its economic and welfare impact is significant — from milk losses to trade restrictions.
Recognizing the first signs is crucial:
-Fever followed by nodular skin lesions
-Lymph node enlargement (Subescapular and Prefemoral)
-Drop in milk yield and fertility
Veterinarians play a central role in early detection, biosecurity, and outbreak management.
Stay alert — timely diagnosis makes all the difference.

When facing abortion or reproductive issues in small ruminants, the right sampling is key for accurate diagnosis:

PCR → Placenta, foetal tissues, or vaginal swabs (from recently aborted animals).
Serology → Blood samples to detect antibodies (best within 2 months post-abortion or parturition).

👉 Tip: Always try to send different sample types and from several animals to increase diagnostic accuracy.

Because the sooner we identify the pathogen, the sooner we can act to protect the flock.

Traditional vaccines can come with trade-offs modified live vaccines may raise safety concerns, while inactivated vaccines can show limited efficacy.

Thanks to advances in subunit vaccine technologies, we can now combine the safety of inactivated vaccines with the high foetal protection  of live ones.
The result:, lower  viral circulation and clinical signs, and no biological risks for breeding animals.

Smart vaccination isn’t just protection it’s prevention built on science.

Evidence from recent field studies confirms that multivalent vaccination significantly reduces respiratory and reproductive disease incidence in calves.
The results speak for themselves.

These outcomes show the power of integrating science-backed vaccines into herd protocols — improving animal welfare and supporting responsible antimicrobial use.

Antibiotic resistance goes far beyond the health of animals — it strikes at the **heart of farm productivity and profitability.**

In small ruminants, resistant infections lead to:
-Lower milk and meat production
-Higher treatment costs
-Increased mortality and infertility

Studies estimate losses of over **15%** in productivity — and millions annually from resistant mastitis and abscesses.

For veterinarians, the solution starts with prevention: **biosecurity, accurate diagnosis, and prudent antimicrobial use.**
Protecting antibiotics today means protecting animal health and farm sustainability tomorrow.

Infectious diseases can quickly disrupt productivity and animal welfare — but prevention can stop them before they start.
🐄 Vaccination, biosecurity, and good management form the foundation of disease prevention on every farm.
Once a pathogen enters the herd, it’s often too late to control it effectively. Acting early protects animals, safeguards productivity, and strengthens your bottom line.
💉 A well-designed vaccination plan, adapted to each farm’s conditions, is not just good practice — it’s a smart investment.

The path to reducing antibiotic use begins long before treatment — with strong biosecurity measures and proper farm management.
Every infection prevented means one less need for antibiotics, one step closer to controlling antimicrobial resistance, and one improvement in animal welfare.
From controlled entry and hygiene protocols to vaccination and early diagnosis, biosecurity builds healthier herds and sustainable farms.
As veterinarians, we are the key drivers of responsible management.
Prevention first. Treatment only when needed.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the greatest global health challenges — and veterinarians are on the front line of prevention. 🧬🐄

Every responsible treatment decision, every correct diagnosis, every preventive measure counts.
By promoting vaccination, biosecurity, and accurate laboratory diagnostics, we can reduce unnecessary antibiotic use and preserve their efficacy for both animals and people.

At our company, we’re committed to supporting vets with reliable diagnostic tools and evidence-based insights that enable smarter, more targeted antimicrobial use.

Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) is one of the biggest health and economic challenges in calves, but recent field studies are bringing good news. Evidence shows that using a multivalent viral vaccine can significantly reduce both the incidence and the severity of BRD. Vaccinated calves not only showed fewer cases of disease, but they also needed fewer antimicrobial treatments and achieved a higher carcass weight at slaughter.

For veterinarians and producers, this means healthier herds, reduced treatment costs, improved animal welfare, and a step forward in responsible antimicrobial stewardship. By integrating multivalent vaccines into herd health protocols—especially during arrival and early fattening—we can better protect animals when they are most vulnerable, while also supporting long-term sustainability in livestock management.

The health of people, animals, and the environment are deeply connected — that’s the essence of the One Health approach.
Veterinarians play a crucial role in maintaining this balance — leading vaccination programs that prevent disease before it spreads, monitoring zoonotic threats, promoting responsible antimicrobial use, and protecting both food safety and animal welfare.
By strengthening disease prevention and surveillance in animals, vets help reduce public health risks and support more sustainable production systems.
At our company, we work hand-in-hand with veterinarians to deliver reliable tools that turn One Health principles into daily practice —
From everyday practice to global impact.
Because protecting animal health means protecting everyone’s health. 💙

C. abortus latency – the hidden risk.
Don’t underestimate “a few abortions.”
👉 Chlamydia can stay dormant until the next pregnancy, then trigger explosive outbreaks.

🐄🔬 Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) is one of the biggest challenges in cattle production. This multifactorial illness affects animal health, increases antibiotic use, and reduces performance. But there’s good news: vaccination can make a difference! 💉✨

Recent research shows that multivalent vaccines can significantly lower BRD incidence and severity, helping keep your herd healthier and more productive.
