For the first event in our new arena in Big Water, UT on May 4th starting at 10 am AZ time! It will be a gymkhana with payouts!! Barrels, poles, crazy 8, and jump cowhorse! We will have hot dogs, drinks, and chips for sale. Everyone is welcome to compete or come watch! All proceeds will go into the club for year end prizes for the members. If you’re planning to come watch please bring your own chairs and shade.

Member price per event - $10
Non-member price per event - $15
It’s not too late to become a member for this year! All the paperwork is located on our website.

Our first event is March 2nd! If you haven’t signed up for a membership this is the time to do so! Please message us and we can get you registered. Our first event is going to be a gymkhana at a new arena! More info to come about the new arena and signing up for the first event.

We are starting our 2024 season!

We are working on dates and events for this year. These are the potential dates and events we have so far.

We will be doing electronic signups this year. We hope to have the form out to you Friday!

Club memberships will be $40 per member and $30 for each additional member in a family (parents and children only). Memberships include a free tshirt and discounted entry fees to events.

Hey everyone! We are getting back into the swing of things with the weather cooling off. We have decided to finish the season out with just gymkhanas. Dates for the rest of the year:

All of these will be held in Page AZ at the rodeo grounds
For members please turn in your volunteer hours at our November 4th event.

4th of July is coming up! HDEC will be having a float in the parade and members are more than welcome to bring their horses or join us on the float! We will be having pool noodle horses for those who don’t want to ride. If you are wanting to get some extra volunteer hours you could help decorate the float or follow behind with a wheelbarrow and pick up the horse droppings! We had a great practice day! Now for the real deal next Saturday! This is a judged event so if you plan on coming to participate we ask that you dress in your western or English attire. You can register until Wednesday night at this link. All payments made on Venmo must be made by Wednesday night and cash is accepted until 9:30 am Saturday. If you plan on coming to watch please bring a chair! The address is 770 S Revolution Way Big Water ut 84741
If you plan on competing we will not be taking any late entries so make sure you get registered before Wednesday at 6pm AZ time!

The practice is free! So even if you don’t want to compete this is a great way to get your horse some exposure. This is for both undersaddle and in hand. These events are for nonmembers as well!
*** please note this “arena” is not fenced in and the highway is fairly close so if you don’t feel comfortable being able to keep ahold of your horse, please don’t risk it!!

This event was so fun! It was amazing to see everyone’s creativity and what they can do with their horses! Huge thank you to our judge for making the drive from southern AZ to join us! Thank you Rodeo 98 for the arena and all your support! We had awesome volunteers as well!

Our next points event is April 1st! We are going to be having a freestyle class! Open to all ages and experience levels. Come show off what your horse knows! You will come up with a routine to music that you will preform in front of a judge.

We are opening our barrel clinic to the public! We have 5 spaces available

Barrel Clinic with Jessica Lathim
March 25th 10 am - 4 pm
Rodeo 89 - Page, AZ

This clinic will cover all aspects of barrel racing! There will be a focus on your core strength, hand, and body position. There will be drills to get your horse engaged and strengthen their muscles as well as yours.
*All ability levels are encouraged to participate.
*There will be an hour break for lunch, snacks, watering horses, etc.

Jessica (our instructor) is AMAZING, and it is going to be a great clinic!
$50 sign up fee with a $25 arena fee

The parade turned out great! Thanks to all who showed up. Thank you Emmy for driving, Jeremiah and Tristan for being rednecks in tutus 🤦‍♀️. Brooke, Sky, Sierra, Emery, Kelsey, and Crissy all rode their painted up horses and looked great. Kailyn Carson Cassandra and Luke rode in the truck to help. We all survived the long wait in the heat and no one came off their horse!!
