Our team has been tirelessly working hard to help get dogs transported from LA to other states to safety. As well as trying to see where we could be best of help in Los Angeles during this time. We want to thank everyone who’s reached out to check on us and the dogs as well as see what our needs are during this time. In the midst of trying to help where we can, we got a phone call that a girl had adopted a senior from us many years ago. That dog has since passed away from old age. But she got two sister Afghan hound puppies recently, and lost everything in the Palisades fire. She knew she was not ready to take on puppies at the moment with everything happening. And obviously, we had to help a former ho’ola adopter out! She had been staying at the Westwood shelter with them for a few days and it was clear that they were very stressed and that was no place for a puppy who needs training stability not to mention they are only nine weeks old and shouldn’t have been around that many other animals at the time. She was trying to head up north to Family‘s house with the dogs, but then realized where she was going, had two reactive Rottweilers who guarded her families property so it wouldn’t have been a good idea for her to take them with her. They are settling in really well and will be available for adoption very soon. Introducing Martha, May (darker female) and Peggy sue!❤️❤️
