Lunge and long-rein your own horse in a structured 1-to-1 session with Oliver Parr. Priced at £35 All horse’s training starts from the ground and lunging is a lot more than ‘just going in a circle’. It’s a great way to observe your horse working, develop mutual respect and obedience, and an invaluable training aid to teach balance, forwardness and rhythm, while helping to build muscle, top-line and agility. The benefits can be transferred to the ridden or driven horse. As well as starting young horses, it is very useful for older or difficult horses, and horses coming back into work after injury or in rehabilitation; and a great way to exercise your horse during the winter or when time is short.
Depending on ability, sessions will include: setting up, starting safely, stopping, upward and downward transitions, changing rein, creating bend on circles, loops and serpentines, and pole-work.
The 30-minute sessions are open to all ages and abilities. No gadgets necessary – just a snaffle bridle, a basic roller and two lunge lines
As well as his success with carriage-driving Oliver has many years’ experience of long-reining horses and ponies, establishing good groundwork in preparation for riding and showing, as a precursor to backing for driving, rehabilitation programmes, working alongside veterinary recommendations.

So some of you are aware here is the latest report on the racehorse that me and my partner Leah Smith are shareholders in I'm pleased to announce San Isidro in his latest race the 16.55 at Chester was an absolutely phenomenal success as this time he went in a straight line although he was unplaced phenomenal effort..... Well it's the taking part that counts

Mix a Solution of Half Listerine and Half Baby Oil – The antibacterial properties in Listerine stop the tail rubbing, but Listerine is drying so the baby oil will moisturize the skin and hair. A great alternative to baby oil is Avon Skin So Soft Original Bath Oil. It will also help keep flies away! Put the mixture in a spray bottle and apply daily.
