Here are the happy fur families we have made so far this litter!!…….everybody is loving our babies!

1st was Gravy, who went to Leonor in MD,

then Greenie (who was picked up by her Grandma) went to meet Camryn,

then BoBo (who went to live in the most beautiful part of our fair state) who is Alexis Barfield’s new best friend,

and, at the tail end of spring break, the clan of Joanna Rodighiero came to pick out their Coal Country Doodle #2–OhJee, who is living under the name “Honey” currently, with her fur-uncle, Buddy, and fur-granny Ginger loving the new energy (right?)…..Eva was super excited!!—and Roman will be ok with it in the end, I think! 😜😘😂🐾🥰❤️

Of course, that leaves two of our babies still searching!……Rudy (Mr. Personality), and Tinks (Ms. Best All-Around)!….send us your adventurous people, ready to explore the puppy lifestyle and luck into the best furry companion ever!!!

This is Trudy, a 1.5 yr old pup from coco and Walker’s first litter! She may look big—but she is 19.1 lbs!!! She is perfection!……held onto her red. Coat is so soft and wavy that it doesn’t even tangle! She is gorgeous!!!As soon as she turns two, she will have her hips/patellas/cardiac and eyes tested—and then—if she gets good/great scores in them—she will become a mommy of Coal country Doodles!!! So exciting!!!! 👏👏👏👏

Momma Darla got a little bit of a haircut, because—if you’ve ever been a mom with no hands, you’d know that the only other option is to use your mouth to clean the babies!!…..😳😝……good thing dogs are used to that.

Our routine is calming down some……which is always a relief. The first few days are so critical—if anything falls out of balance, it can cause so many other things to happen—so it is a pretty hairy balancing act for the humans involved. 🤓🤪🤪🥵

These babies look like they will be a few different shades of apricot, but a couple also look cream with apricot or buff/fawn-colored points!…..now, could it be a trick of the lights and the way these babies are laying (…..and potentially severe lack of sleep lol)?….Yes. I have also had some of my doods—and have seen many others—look like they have a line of apricot down their back, across their shoulders, and on the back of their front and rear legs, and ears of solid apricot too!…..I know that genetically, they are all considered “ee”—which is cream-to-red (and anywhere between), but genetically, I don’t know a lot about most “pattern” genes………Darla also carries one copy of “parti-“ which means that we may have some white spots or patterning show up in the next couple of weeks.

It’s “labor and delivery” time for Darla….🐾🐾🐾🐾….she was so happy to get to come and camp out at our house!……that makes me happy 🥰🥰🥹😊.

My last night with Mr. Personality,himself, aka Rudy……he sure has kept us entertained……but it turns out he also really enjoyed the NFL draft on the 72” TV in the living room!……🏈🏉🏆

Rudy is bound for farrrrrrrrmmm livin’!—or, farm-adjacent, anyhow!!…….I can’t wait to get videos of Rudy + baby goats!!! 🐐 🐓🐏🦫🦨😳😜😂😂……..

Coco, doing her best shuck and jive to get some of our salmon at dinner tonight!…….😂😂😂 I felt bad—but she was laying it on THICK!!—and she NEVER does that!!……so I had to take a few dozen pics of her……the other dogs were not impressed. 😐🤪🤪🐾🥰❤️😂😂

ALL BABIES ARE MANDING (sitting calmly, making eye contact and waiting for me to tell them what to do) FLAWLESSLY! Now, it takes a TON of work to get here…..and there’s still a ton of work for us to do before they go home……but this is how a well-balanced baby is made!……😌💁‍♀️😏🐾❤️🥰🥰💪
