Hey, I just wanted to reach out to all our page followers and ask for a favour.
We mostly do the giving here with information, articles, and savings but now I want to ask for something small.
Let me explain.
The world of dog ownership is heading for a very tough place for many, and we need to take some action to slow or stop this out of control train wreck.
How many people have been in the news lately that have been killed or mauled by their dogs?
Dog bites and attacks spiralling out of control in every state.
Why, well there are many reasons, but one major reason is that our Australian Government has realised that Australians who own dogs are many, and to get our votes, they need to tell us what we want to hear.
So, they stand up and tell us how they will make laws and legislation to “help our beloved dogs”.
That’s right “I’m from the Government and I’m here to help”, (generally means RUN!)
You may not know this but, when making these laws to change the way we live with our dogs, they will not hear input from the Professional Dog Trainers of this country, instead they push the agenda in such a way that they make you feel that specialist dog trainers are to be ignored and disbelieved when it comes to what is best for your dogs education and well being.
Pushing you towards groups that will eventually euthanise your dog for behaving in an out of control manner.
Making laws to seize your dog and kill him or her and fining and prosecuting you along the way.
I formed the organisation known as the Professional Dog Trainers of Australia or PDTA (LINK) and I am the current president and am supported by a very experienced board of members you can see here (https://dogtrainersaustralia.org/about-us/)
The goal of the organisation is to represent dog trainers, behaviourists right through to dog owners and trying to help you all the best we can.
We offer our expertise, time and services to State and Federal Governments AT NO CHARGE to provide information, knowledge and advice so that the dog owning public have access to fair laws, legislation and education.
Now, the favour I asked for.
