Reba #4810 (7yr old Chestnut)
Week 3 and 4 June 15-28th
We had a huge brake through this week!!! After weeks of round penning and making very little progress, we finally decided to put #4810 into a small stall made out of 6' tall panels, with 3 of us standing on different sides (outside the panels) and armed with rolled up lunge whips that we used like giant crochet hooks, we were able to weave a lead rope through the chin strap of her halter and then clip it back to itself. A couple days later, I finally got my first touch on her nose! Two days after that I was able to take her tag off!!! So with out further ado I would like to introduce, "Reba!" She has been a challenge but has already taught me so much! She has progressed amazingly over the last week and I am now able to touch and brush both of her sides as well as comb her beautiful mane and forelock! Her leading is coming along very well! When she gets scared she tends to spin and pull out of my hands so I started teaching her to lunge and to come to me when I applied pressure and she is already improving! She has come so far and I can't wait to see what we accomplish in the upcoming weeks!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkrki0_8VtQ&t=4s
#4810 now know as, Reba has come leaps and bounds over the last couple of weeks! Check out our page called "A Wild Journey With #4915". https://www....
