As some of you may have noticed I took a bit of a hiatus after Toby passed in September. Since his passing I have welcomed two new guinea pigs into my home. I am happy to announce we are back in action!

Meet Ernie! Ernie came to me through my fulltime job at an animal shelter. He along with 11 other guinea pigs were removed from a home where they were all allowed to roam freely. As many guinea pig owners know if you don't keep up with them daily they can make a huge mess and the house Ernie came from reflected that. He also has a bit of a head tilt and balance issue. We treated for an inner ear infection with little to no improvement. When he was picked up from his former home the owner had mention one of the pigs had been stepped on, we assume Ernie was that pig. He is doing great and has been thriving with us! His brother Gus Gus will need a little more time before representing us as he is shy, but that's okay!
