Ma'am! Who did your make up? It's wonderf...oh, she teleported away!
The hierarchy of "fear" of this spider goes, 4. The Spider Themselves 3 .The Venom 2. The Speed 1. The Common Name!
The spider themselves is gorgeous, beautiful colouration and markings, stunning fangs, and an eye formation that gives them the most docile puppy dog face! The venoms next, of course, everyone reacts differently, what may be small to one person may be a life and death for someone else so please always take this into consideration! However from bite reports, it's slightly worse than a bee sting with no lasting effects. Next is the speed! Boy howdy, an actual reason for the heart rate to increase! They are the definition of speed! Literal teleportation, and the fear is instinctive for myself as it's a huge drive to overcome this when trying to safely and calmly place a lid onto a container when this one is making a break for freedom! Luckily she hasn't tried it since settling into her new home, but it's always in the back of my mind, her true final form potential! And finally, the true reason this spider scares me, actually, bar the speed, really the only reason, and that's the quite frankly stupid link my brain has when it see's the words, "wandering spider." I KNOW that I *should* be fine if I get bitten, however it won't stop that little voice in the back of my head about the "before I kept spiders" knowledge 😂
