This is why your turn does not come from pulling on the rein. Note the riders hand and leg position and hip angle in each sketch. Note the development of the horses muscles in each sketch. Note the shape of the horse in each sketch. A truly supple, truly bent horse is working through their entire body. It is OUR job as the rider to guide the horse to become soft, supple, and through in all movements.

Rider one is pulling the nose around, and trying to push the haunches in, with a following outside rein offering the horse no balance, and a hardly supportive inside leg to wrap around. This has created a rigid, stiff horse that will surely be back sore, weak in the hind end, with front end bulk in all the wrong places. This horse has every opportunity, and will likely be so uncomfortable that it will try every time, to run out of his right shoulder.

Rider two is pushing the horse from his inside leg to his outside rein. The outside rein is providing a balance point for the horse, allowing him to be both comfortable and willing to carry himself. Because the riders rein is supportive and blocking the shoulder, the horse can not blow out the shoulder, and can only become truly bent along the entire length of the spine.

In order to build the athlete you want, and to allow your horse the opportunity to have a long, successful, and most importantly SOUND career, it is important to understand how we ride, even in seemingly simple tasks such as the walk or trotting circles, is effecting each muscle in your horses body. Not all muscle is good muscle!

We have been fighting the best we could over the last couple years to not be one more thing to change in pricing. To give our clients one last good opportunity for savings we are offering prepaid sessions at the old prices for MagnaWave AND MagnaWave Bodywork Combos! Prepaid appointments will NOT have limits on how many purchased and will NOT have an expiration date. We will log all the sessions bought in a ledger with the method of payment used to ensure accuracy for the time of use!

I will be forever grateful when I choose to pursue the path of equine bodywork.

At the time I made that decision I was a 19 almost 20 year old that was fresh from moving home from Iowa showing draft horses professionally. I made the choice to go to college the coming fall semester but wanted to add some tools in my bag for my personal horses.

I never in a million years thought that my course that I borrowed my Grandma Evonna Hammon's Cadillac to attend was going to be so life changing. Within 3 days of finding this course I had the funding, time off work, and was accepted into the program. I was too young to rent a car so I drove my grandmother's "Silver Bullet" to Florida with her then she flew back home. I bravely attended the course across the country from Animal Dynamics of Reddick, Florida for Equine Sports Massage Therapy and Equine Electro Acupressure.

I never thought my 20 year old self would be gaining knowledge that would transform my entire life like it has. This April will be 11 years since I attended that first course. Since then I finished my Bachelor's in Accounting, finishing up the spring of 2020. However, upon my graduation from ISU, my heart lead me towards working on horses full time. I have continued to study different methods, techniques, and modalities to continue to help horses even more. My goal as an Equine Bodyworker is to help horses as well as their owners/riders be able to perform at their absolute best while having a happy healthy horse. That's what Triple H Equine means to me. Specializing in Happy, Healthy, Horses...

I look forward to helping all my clients and friends to have a successful 2024 riding season while trying to help preserve the horses longevity as well. I am continuously striving to gain more knowledge. As my business grows I will be able to add more modalities to help horses with their specific needs. Not all horses are the same so different modalities help better than others for certain horses!

SOLD: 6 year old AQHA broodmare located in Blackfoot Idaho 👀 for a new pasture. In foal to our junior AQHA Palomino stallion Heza Smart Nu Style. Dori is good to catch, haul, ultrasound, tie, and to trim. She is sold as broodmare sound only due to being stepped on as a baby on her left hind pastern. She is 16 hands and 5 panel clean. Foal will be 5 panel clean via parentage. Located in Blackfoot, ID. Foal pictured is her 2022 filly and palomino is the stallion she is bred to. Pedigree listed is the pedigree of foal she's currently in foal with.

One of my favorite workouts for my horses is this simple one. I learned it from a great vet along time ago. This helps to build and strengthen their backs and pulls their belly up.

Simple and cheap. 2 polos Velcroed together, run down through an O-Ring snaffle, between the legs and up around the wither to tie. The object is to not have the nose behind the vertical line. You want your horse to drive and lift themselves. If they are to far behind the vertical your not lifting or engaging their hind end, your only pulling their heads down.
*Important to note the speed. A medium trot is best. Not to slow and not to fast. How they stretch and move their bodies at a brisk trot is what pulls their belly up and stretches and strengthens their backs.*

This exercise is also how I start all my horses out when they start getting in shape for the season. This black beauty is my 22 year old semi retired rodeo horse. She is getting herself in shape because momma (me) wants to run barrels again and all the other options are babies. She knew I was ready because she was standing at the gate waiting for me, which is very unlike her!
