Hello all!

My name is Alyssa Fletcher.

I founded Grassroots grooming 10 years ago in 2014 & am known well by the small dog and grooming clients.

In 2021 along with Kyle, my spouse, we opened Grasslands Canine Development Centre for large dogs and eventually merged the small dog location here too.

Just a note to our clients- I rotate on to front desk on Wednesdays, and Jenn has her day off. I am reminded how much you all appreciate Jenn on Wednesdays and I am so grateful.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of our big dog’s humans a little more. I often get asked if I am new or where Jenn is. Please have no Wednesday worries - everything will be ok and Jenn remains an integral part of our team. 😂

Dogs & Halloween Inflatables - ft Fern & our Grim Reaper 👻

When introducing dogs to inflatables, it’s important to do so gradually and positively. Start by letting them observe the inflatable from a distance, allowing them to sniff and explore at their own pace. Use treats and praise to create a positive association. Monitor their body language for signs of fear or stress, and never force them to interact. Gradually decrease the distance as they become more comfortable. Always prioritize their safety and well-being during the process.

Happy Thanksgiving from our family.

We have many things to be thankful for. There isn’t a day that I don’t feel grateful to work with pets.

I am also really grateful that we have been able to attract top notch pet enthusiasts as colleagues. I really have never liked to say boss or employee and it’s especially true when the staff standing around us are so incredibly smart in so many different areas grooming, nutrition, training, handling, breeds, rescue, social media, photography, people skills. Grasslands is honestly all of ours.

Of course the fact that people choose to use our facility is the thing that allows it all to happen. We know that more than ever people in Brandon have choices. Our facility may not be the flashiest but everything we do we do for the dogs. Space, sanitation/drainage and a great outdoor area were our priorities and we know by the fact that we are booked every day that this is our community’s priority too.

Above all else we are thankful that you trust us with your best friends. Thank you.
