Migraines on a Monday are not nice but went to get eggs and we got a new personal record
Hard work on the ranch means loud snores

From a destructive 9 month old that would try to pin me down to prevent me from leaving, food aggressive, reactive and had no ability to handle being overstimulated. She had no idea how to release her excitement.
This took a year, this is not perfect but this is far better. Teaching a dog how to be alone and how to handle being overstimulated is probably the two most important things you can do besides basic commands.
Harley releases her stress and excitement through her mouth (like most Danes). We have toys littered all over the ranch but she now knows when she’s getting overly excited to find them.
On the rare occasion where they aren’t available we work on soft bite. She recognizes human anatomy and knows we don’t bite hard on it.
This recognition is our biggest success story.
This was a 9 month old that at 90 lbs didn’t know her own name, how to be alone or handle her own stress.
This is a now 2 year old that knows different.
Pandemic puppies are a different breed of puppy. The failures these puppies went through are something that take a long time to get through. They got comfortable with a family, a routine, most without a lot of training.
Then lost it all because their owners couldn’t “handle it” when they returned to work and didn’t have enough time
An animal is a commitment, years long commitment. You need to think about them first.
