Migraines on a Monday are not nice but went to get eggs and we got a new personal record
Legendary Ranch is a hobby ranch/farm located in Vancouver, WA. The name was created by my first horse
Migraines on a Monday are not nice but went to get eggs and we got a new personal record
Eggs are back in stock for whoever wants some of the beautiful butt nuggets!
Thank you guys for supporting my farm. I don’t do it for the profit but the eggs sales help cut the cost of feed and I don’t like them to go to waste.
So far every day that I have posted that I have some available they’ve sold within that day.
Butt nuggets are available!
Turn your sound on
I for the first time in almost a year I have enough eggs after my regulars to start selling to the public.
$5/ dozen free range eggs, pretty colors and (obviously) happy chickens
When your egg is so big it doesn’t even fit in the egg carton hole 🥴🫣😳
From a destructive 9 month old that would try to pin me down to prevent me from leaving, food aggressive, reactive and had no ability to handle being overstimulated. She had no idea how to release her excitement.
This took a year, this is not perfect but this is far better. Teaching a dog how to be alone and how to handle being overstimulated is probably the two most important things you can do besides basic commands.
Harley releases her stress and excitement through her mouth (like most Danes). We have toys littered all over the ranch but she now knows when she’s getting overly excited to find them.
On the rare occasion where they aren’t available we work on soft bite. She recognizes human anatomy and knows we don’t bite hard on it.
This recognition is our biggest success story.
This was a 9 month old that at 90 lbs didn’t know her own name, how to be alone or handle her own stress.
This is a now 2 year old that knows different.
Pandemic puppies are a different breed of puppy. The failures these puppies went through are something that take a long time to get through. They got comfortable with a family, a routine, most without a lot of training.
Then lost it all because their owners couldn’t “handle it” when they returned to work and didn’t have enough time
An animal is a commitment, years long commitment. You need to think about them first.
Cluck Norris is up for a new 🏡. I no longer am looking at hatching eggs for people and he tends to go after one specific hen. He’s under 1 year old and VERY active
Pick up in Vancouver WA
Pure bred whiting true blue roo
They are my fav breed
Small rehoming
When you were born to be a farm dog even though you’re a Rottweiler mixed with a basset hound
No filter
Just sunshine
The new chicks are in their ugly stages , Vincent Van Goat decided to get himself stuck IN the round bale holder meant to keep them out and while I was trying to get him out Ranger decided that it was time for pets and he wasn’t going to take no for an answer
And 60 eggs picked today unfortunately a lot are on the small side due to the snow and cold snap

If you want to support a racing team here’s your chance!!! Fyi if the link doesn’t work just type it in the web browser. Fb is being weird
I already ordered mine!!
I’d say the chickens liked the sunshine we got recently!
I wish I could nap like chicks.
Found our first olive egg today!!!
A stray barn kitty just randomly showed up in our barn. VERY skittish won’t let me get anywhere near but she/he has a barn full of hay to keep him/her warm and put out some soft cat food. Barn kitty is welcome to stay as long as it catches mice.
Unfortunately we are in a high area where people dump unwanted pets. Someone probably paid a lot of money because it’s a Russian blue from what I can tell.
When you drop your phone in the goat pen you may find gems like these
I can’t tell you the happiness that I have right now over these morons getting their own dose of karma.
Now we all know that goats test fences (and my patience). But these blood sucking energy vultures have been running all over with no respect for authority, getting out of every fence possible. Now mind you they always do this when the septic goes out, the well went out, when something else was going wrong…. Like they KNEW.
Well today was their day.
The fence is electrified and they tested it today. You probably think this is mean but after chasing these ducking kumquats all over hell’s acres they hit 7000 volts when they tried to escape again. The snap and resulting cry and run was sweet revenge.
They haven’t even looked at the fence since.
Tonight I will sleep the best in the last month probably.
A look inside the new coop. It’s not done yet but you can see the progress
The design of the new 10 x 16 chicken coop is starting to take form. Today we installed the automated chicken door (it had to be a flag since my rooster’s name was Birdie Sanders).
I will have a 15’ long brooder for all of my hatching needs, 15 nesting boxes, a storage room with shelves, and clean out. I’m mostly exited about the clean out to be honest. This will allow me to sweep all the dirty shavings etc out straight into the tractor bucket! I epoxied the floor to protect it from any watery stool, water spillage etc. What do you think?

Harley the house horse is settling in better and getting used to the crazy farm. She’s not as afraid to be alone because she’s starting to realize that I’m coming back. She is learning that when we go out to the pasture it means she can run as fast as she wants. She decided to chase the horses yesterday and learned that the horses aren’t going to tolerate that. She’s amazing at folding herself into a pretzel and napping as long as I’m by her side. #harleythehousehorse
When you’re mom’s first born so she gives you a parade float for Home Depot while your peasant sibling has to walk with the commoners
We’ve got some exciting news!! We’re expecting! This is our first test run of whiting true blue babies!
This is my first advertisement and I think I killed it (not literally). Do you like it?! Look for us on IG @LegendaryRanchWA
Teaching cutting chicken feathers. I’ve set up a 5’ fence to protect them and they like to fly over it anyways. This is like clipping your toenails and doesn’t hurt them at all.
The first snow of the year and all the horses are spicy out at the barn where Legend is currently stabled.
Yesterday December 13th was Legend’s one year anniversary of her gotcha day AND the national day of the horse. She’s still on injury rest but she loves learning and it shows. I think this is only attempt 2 at teaching her to bow. She’s an amazing girl and I couldn’t imagine life without her. She follows me off lead in the arena wherever we go and loves to lick me. We’ve built an amazing bond and it gets better day by day. Happy gotcha day girl
