Jess and Zoom did really well in the weekend.
2 wins, (senior and Jumpers A)
Adding a 3rd challange for coming 2nd place in another class.
Look at them go!
Cannot wait to meet these guys at NZDAC Labour weekend 😁
Jess, Mac and Zoom did really well with Agility trials in the weekend.
Well done Jess 🥳
Southland
Mac did some great work this weeekend. The grounds there can be a bit boggy so there were a few rails but in his last class of the weekend he decided to pick his feet up and went clear for the win! This was an unsplit class so he beat all the other dogs at his level. He now has two out of the three wins he needs to get to Jumpers A. I am very proud of the Mac n Cheese 💜
Zoom
Zoom was awesome this weekend, he got 3/6 clears. A 1st, 3rd and a 5th. Along with the first he got an all important challenge certificate that goes toward his grand champion title. He is now officially halfway there! Love my Zoomasaurus 💚
Jess and Mac are doing so well at Agility shows.
Here is a write up from Jess🙂
Mac had his second show in jumpers B at Otago two weekends ago and he did amazing. There were 5 jumpers Bs and not only did he get his first clear round at this level but he also won that class! He is getting super speedy now so when he goes clear he’s 9/10 times likely to win. He’s such a good boy and earned himself a new wool cover in his special colour: purple. 💜
Jess and Zoom, last weekend in the Agility ring.
Go Jess! 🥳
Zoom OCTC
Zoom had an amazing first weekend back after a month’s break. In his first class back he came second and got a challenge in Jumpers A. 0.1 seconds off first which was my fault for slowing down at the end. He also got a second in senior which sadly was two entries off him getting a second place challenge. He also managed a 5th in the 3rd jumpers A despite me getting lost and costing us 5 seconds. He then also managed a 3rd in intermediate against some very very fast dogs as first 4 dogs were very tight. He was such a good boy all weekend 😊
South Canterbury (SCDTC) Agility Championships
This weekend Zoom, Mac, and I competed in a two agility two jumpers event.
Zoomie's goal this weekend was to either get three clear rounds or two in senior or Jumpers A. This weekend Zoom got 2 clear rounds, both in senior. Senior 1 he came third and senior 2 he came second, only 0.6 seconds behind first, but sadly there was only one challenge up for grabs. He did some amazing work all weekend and all mistakes were my fault. His best work he’s ever done was probably in the last senior as all the messy parts were my fault for not being in the right place and Zoom was so honest and corrected the mistakes, especially the weaves where most other dogs would have either entered at the second weave or missed entry completely and got a refusal. He also had some amazing contacts all weekend which I’m so proud of. They’re Always good but this weekend they were AMAZING.
Mac, this is Macs third show out and he blew me away. Given that he’s a friend's dog so I don’t get to train him as often as I would Zoom, he also did absolutely amazing. He got 2/2 clear rounds in Jumpers C! His first ever clear rounds. He has come so far as a couple weekends ago he would have ran out of the ring and just shut down but now he is so much more confident, especially in the weaves. He didn’t get them first try but he did get 3/4 weaves in the ring which is such an achievement for him.
Both dogs have grown so much, ShineBright Zoomasaurus and Bordermagic Golden Delicious 💚💜
Mac's is owned by Kerry. His pic is in the comments 💞
Mum and son time for 2 seconds 🤣💞
Happy 9th Birthday MOCHA 🥳🎈
Soo very proud of these two. 🥰
Jess and Zoom have had an amazing start to this year.
Here is a write up from Jess 🥰
We started the year off with a good start. First me and Zoom went to JDT camp! He did so well and we learnt so much. The weekend after camp we did C.C.A.T.S, a game show. He managed three out of three games wins to get him into games B in one weekend. The weekend after that he managed his second challenge, only three months after his first! ( including summer holidays, no agility.) Just as it couldn’t get any better we managed to get two clear rounds in Jumpers A at Waimak! He is such a lovely boy. What a good way to celebrate his third birthday!
Zoom’s second clear in jumpers A for the weekend
