The Cat Garden Rescue Cat Rescue Group, servicing select cities in West Contra Costa County, CA This well-proven method is called TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release).

The Cat Garden Rescue (TCGR) is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose objective is to spay/neuter homeless cats, and place adoptable ones in loving homes. We trap, neuter, and return cats who choose residency at people’s homes, gardens, parks, schools, and on the streets. Our goal is to help our communities in reducing cat population, teach compassion, educate, and offer solution

s to unwanted cat presence in the Richmond, San Pablo, El Sobrante, Rodeo, Hercules and Pinole areas. We are not able to accept owner surrenders as we are a small, non-profit organization without a designated facility.

This poor dumped cat is depressed. We have him in his own room with a cat house where he seems to only come out to eat and use litter box. We will introduce him to other cats in a few more days.

When it rains it pours! We have another cat who looks to be dumped at one of our sites. The flea collar is quite tight and he/she needs medical attention for sure. Starving and leaking from the eyes. It's an endless battle we are up against with reproduction but the humans behind the dumping is also a battle of its own. We will trap and help this one as we always do.

UPDATE. We got him just in time. The 4th is tomorrow and the fireworks are alway so loud around this apt. He has a microchip. We will research it and see what comes up but someone dumped this nice friendly cat. They left his cat tree and cat house too. So sad. The lady that lives in the building and feeds for us sometimes took the picture. After she fed him he didn't want her to go inside. She would take him but would have to pay $50 a month for pet rent and her apartment is tiny . She already has 2 cats . If anyone can foster or wants a super nice cat please let us know. Poor cat will stay waiting for his owner who will never come back for him.

Crazy Pipe embarked on a new journey today to Aptos with her forever family, a retired couple with four grandchildren, who are eager to shower her with love and attention. Her new home is spacious, perfect for her energetic spirit. The rescue has undergone a transformation without her vibrant presence, as she was always initiating new adventures and reveling in the joy of fresh toys, her excitement was contagious. Good luck to you beautiful girl!

I first met Brando in October 2011 when we had a drop trap set to fix a whole colony with Patricia Fray, Feral Cat Foundation. Witnessing his resilience was truly inspiring. He showed up under the drop, and I was taken aback, thinking he was a pet, but we pulled the rope and got him neutered. He was an adult pet that had been discarded, yet he persevered, showing up every day to eat. He thrived outdoors with a large colony until August 2023 when he needed extra care. He has been at the rescue since then. Brando is the epitome of sociability, adored by all, young and old. His charisma is reminiscent of Marlon Brando, with undeniable s*x appeal and social skills. Kittens look up to him, and he graciously bathes and nurses them. I've never seen a cat so revered by his peers, and even my cat Charmant seems to admire him. We estimate Brando to be 16 this year, and though he's losing weight, we cherish every moment with him. When his time comes, a part of me will forever be changed, but his legacy will live on, inspiring us to continue making a difference in the lives of colony cats.

This is a one year old female. She went to get spayed yesterday at Joy Bound in Walnut Creek. They also did an eye removal. She will stay with us 5 days. Then she will go back to join her colony.

5 more cats went to Joy Bound this morning for Spay/Neuter and one eye removal. Every cat done is important to us.
