Our Rodeo kittens
They have been thriving under the care of our new foster Nancy Van House in Berkeley. They are now 2 pounds and ready for their 2nd vaccine. They will be in their forever homes in pairs next week and we will spay and neuter in a month. Those adoptions are truly heartwarming when the foster has friends who come over and fall in love.
Paul has been drinking water for 5 minutes . It has been very dry outdoors … We do leave water for the cats but also for the wildlife . Who does that for them ? You ?
The boy brought by Jennifer to the shelter has been already adopted by an adopter from our rescue . She is the one who asked for our help. As soon as he was available, she went to adopt him. He is so happy to be out and to have found love and safety .
As we come to the end of 2024 we would like to share once again some of our furry friends we met while TNR , feeding colonies and socializing kittens.
We need a name for this young gentleman. He seems to suffer from the single kitten syndrome and can’t relate to cats . Loves humans and his little blankie . If anyone know someone who could foster him ? That would be swell . The rescue has a lot of old timers who don’t like to spend the night outdoors now as they all getting to 12 , 13 , 14 years old. What is a good name for this young , neutered boy?
Snickers now (Cosmo) the black male cat in the video was adopted today! Lucinda’s cousin , Julie , was ready for another cat and came to us. Julie has 4 dogs and wanted a cat who was dog friendly. Snickers loves dogs.
Finally Duke is eating a bit on his own . Still stuffed up and on antibiotics . We want to thank the Peterson family to work with him or more like work for him… He is not out of the woods but he sees some light .

This is where the kittens learn their social skills. At first when they come in we isolate them and they get vaccines flea treatment and dewormed. If they start letting us pet them and look healthy and ready to go to the next step we put them here with the other kittens.

They gained 4 oz in 4 days . They have teeth so they should be able to eat soon . They love the 6 weeks old kitten . They are in awe !
