Our goal is to help our communities in reducing cat population, teach compassion, educate, and offer solution

Meet Badger! He is one lucky cat. He showed up at one of our feeding sites. He was friendly and wanted to jump into the feeders cars. Then a student posted his picture on Nextdoor. They wanted to know if anyone is missing their cat. He had jumped into her car too. So one of our feeders (Julie) took him home. Julie had taken one of our other friendly cats home but he wasn't the same inside. He wanted out. So she returned him. Some cats don't want to be inside. But when she took Badger home he loved it. He found his forever home. A few weeks later I happened to be feeding that colony when I met a lady who was looking for him. She said her parents had dumped him off at the site. They didn't want him. This lady had been coming by everyday to spend time and feed him. So now we have the mystery solved. Where he came from.

This is cat #11. He is a big male from a site we've been TNRing cats. Hes going to be retired now. This will keep him from roaming looking for females. Debbie Rugg Bressem and her husband did a wonderful job of getting the cats under the drop trap. We can pick up the drop and move it to our next site...

We have several cats going to Animal Fix Clinic Monday for S/N plus medical issues. The mom of 7 kittens and a 6 months female that needed urgent fostering because the landlord gave an ultimatum. Thanks to Paige Kemsey we have found a solution in Point Richmond . A big male with a swollen cheek. Boots for recheck {the drainage tubes will be removed )An older orange tabby male with ulcers in his mouth. We couldn't do all of this without AFC’s help. They are the best with our community cats.

All sentient beings should be treated with respect and compassion. This young lady rescued 4 dying chickens in a factory farm but risks now 5 years in jail. We should have the right to rescue when an animal shows clear signs of distress. Big corporations want to make her an example by showing no mercy . We are living in a world where compassion is a sign of weakness and greed supersedes any emotional, normal behaviors. What have we become? Please sign if you support the right to rescue for all animals in distress.

Help the whistleblowers facing prison time for exposing factory farm abuses and rescuing suffering animals

Update.(Boots had surgery yesterday and he has a drain tube in his neck. It will be removed in a few days.) This is Boots. He used to live on a school bus with many other cats and dogs. He escaped one day and joined a feral colony in Rodeo. He showed up with a horrible smelly wound on his face and ear. We were treating the wounds at the rescue but we noticed he couldn't see. So Animal Fix Clinic said to bring him in this morning. We really thank them for that. After Dr Goh examined him she said he had inverted eye lashes. (entropion). Its when the lashes grow inside the eye. Very painful and can damage the eyes. So he had surgery to fix it. We will know more when we pick him up today at 5 pm. If anyone could donate to The Cat Garden Rescue it would be wonderful. Any amount would help. Best is Zelle with Boots in the memo.

We love updates from kittens and cats that were adopted. Donald and his wonderful wife adopted "Pau" now "Oliver". Who as fostered by Missy Gilbarg. Who did a great job. They wanted a buddy for their other cat. After spending time with 3 adolescents, (and it was hard to pick just one) they decided on her. Oliver loves to cuddle and gets along with the resident cat just great!
