I’m baaaaccckk! Didcha miss me? Of course you missed me!

I’ve had lots to say about lots of stuff, but my translator’s been busy, and she kept telling me, “soon.” Whatever that means. 🤷‍♀️

It might be a little bit my fault. I do my fair share of keeping her busy. Just yesterday, I woke up with a swollen cheek, and I had to get blood tests to find out what happened. On a Sunday. A holiday Sunday. I picked a good day for an emergency, right??

Turns out, I’m fine. The swelling is almost gone today. I know what happened, but I’m never telling. It’s a secret between me and the sss…. 🙊

Translator note: no marauder was located in Elvis’ bedroom. He never showed any signs of pain, lethargy, inappetence, or behavior changes. He scarfed down meals and was as feisty as ever. Never missed a beat. He was lucky. We were lucky. The most likely culprits are snake, spider, or scorpion. We have inspected, cleaned, and sprayed every house and igloo, and cleared around the outsides. Please do the same to keep your babies safe this summer! You don’t want to know how scary yesterday was!

My oldest brother, Beau, is the only other bulldog in the family. Except, he’s a lllllotttt bigger than I am. He’s also really old, and likes to sleep a lot. He doesn’t explore outside very often, but the weather was so nice today, he came onto the porch to visit my room!

He thought my grass rug was comfortable. He napped on it for two hours, and he never even tried to chew it up. He must know he’s a bulldog, though, because he found my BULLYMAKE ballistic toy right away!

He was so happy, I might let him have one from my next box because I’m a good brother like that. 😎

The weather was so nice this morning, my brother, Knight, and I took our other brother, Phoenix, outside to show him how to play. We had to be careful because he’s still getting used to his shaky head and twitchy eyes, but we think he had a lot of fun. He didn’t know how to chase a ball, but he really liked playing Explorers!

No one has really met our shy brother, RV, because he’s pretty much scared of everything. He looked relaxed when he was napping today, though. He sat up to see what we were doing when we got close to him, but he didn’t hide from us. He went right back to napping, just like I would do, and I’m happy, so I think he must be! I hope he can play with us soon!

This is my newest brother, Phoenix. He came from the SEAACA shelter, just like me. He was really sick because he ate stuff called “cocaine and THC”. He had to spend 3 days in the hospital to get better. He’s home now, and I like him, but his eyes do this funny thing all the time. The doctors said they probably will for the rest of his life. I told him it’s ok because I’m kind of crazy, too. 🤪

Sometimes, I drool a little bit. It’s kind of my superpower.

This was me on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. I wasn’t really mean; I was just scared. But, it didn’t matter because they were going to kill me anyway.

Then, a knock on the door, and I was allowed to leave!

I went to my first foster, the incredible Devan, who also fostered one of my Big Friends, Beau. Devan has a great relationship with a great vet, and was able to get me an appointment for antibiotics, vaccinations, and a neuter. Devan said I was anxious and scared, but not mean. Once I knew I was safe, I loved Devan.

Then, I moved in with another foster who fell so in love that she considering adopting me. It didn’t work out with her family, but we’re still talking to her in case things change!

Finally, I got to Steampunk Farms Rescue Barn. There’s a man there I’m a little scared of, but I love to play and sleep with the girls, and I even like the man when he gives me cookies, too.

What is the rest of the story behind my “battle cropped” ears and missing tail, my mild cleft lip/nostril, and my crazy fear of men? I don’t want to talk about it. I’m just happy things are different, now.
