There is this kitty abandoned at our lane and living in next door, where a building is built. It is she. We are feeding her well as the workers. They will leave soon and we want her to be relocated to a loving home. She is, I am guessing 2 months old. We cant keep her at our place, since we are having two dogs and they will hurt her. So we want to relocate and will vaccinate her when she is in her right age. Appreciating your help to adapt this cute.

Adoptees LK was founded on the 3rd of September, 2019 as a means of contributing to animal welfare in Sri Lanka. Adoptees LK puts dogs and cats up for free adoption and urges compassionate citizens to adopt instead of shop for pets.

We are an online pet adoption service. We only provide a platform for fosters/owners looking to put strays/pets up for adoption to get their message across. We are a messenger platform, of sorts - we carry the message to those interested in adopting a pet.

Adoption Process

We don’t act as the middle man or get involved in the adoption process as those interested directly contact the foster/owner. The foster/owner is the decision maker in choosing the best home for their cat or dog from those who’ve reached out to them. Of course, we’ve advised all fosters/owners to screen the homes and take their time in making a decision.

In any case, even if we are just the messenger platform, we take priority in finding homes for these poor souls. Even if the most we can do is circulate the information on social media.

Clarifications

We have no physical location, as of yet, and our presence is only online. Therefore, we are unable to foster abandoned animals, shelter injured strays or carry out CNVR programs. Under these circumstances, we don’t require donations.

Vision and Mission

We foresee Adoptees LK expanding from its social media presence to a physical location. We further aim to establish an animal shelter, an animal boarding, a pet shop, and make island wide pet delivery available in the future.

In the meantime, we intend to get as many strays off the roads as possible, and into homes that consider them a part of their family.

Policies

Strays/pets put up for adoption on Adoptees LK are free of charge.

Strays/pets under the age of 6 weeks will be put up for foster care, rather than for adoption, as a means of prioritizing their need to be nursed.

Strays/pets under the age of 6 weeks that are up for foster care can only be adopted by those who are willing to nurse them.

Adoptees LK will not act as the middle man between the owner/foster and those interested, during the adoption process. Therefore, contact information, including a name and a cell number, will be included in all posts.
