Look at that face 🥰🥰

Pickles is a female, 11 month old, 50 pound, terrier mix.
She is very sweet and friendly although she can be kind of shy at first, but warms up to you.
She is learning how to play appropriately as she will nip at other dogs in a non-aggressive manner while playing. She seems to want to learn and takes to correction quickly. She does well with people and will just need some patience and training on how to play appropriately with other dogs.

Pickles was found by a good samaritan who reports that she did well in a crate.
She said she also did well with her resident dogs but was a bit afraid at first.
She can be cat tested upon request.

Pickles is currently in Texas, but upon adoption will be transported to NJ.

That's beautiful, Delilah!!
She is about two and a half years old and 52 lbs. She's been in a foster home for a year and a half. She's been cared for and loved, but the love that is shared with 30 other dogs and other animals can't compare to the love and care of a family.
Please give Delilah a chance to find a home of herself.
Please share and share
We adopt to the tri-state area and beyond.

She sits on command.
She listens when she's told, "No jump".
Rolls over for belly rubs.
She does not have a mean bone in her body!!
Delilah, like all shepherds, is a strong girl.
She’s learning to heel when the foster walks her, but she will need some additional training.
We recommend no cats.
She will need a yard with a high-fenced yard. Preferably not chain link because she can climb.
She gets along with other dogs.
She loves water! She sits in her water during the hot summer when the temperature is over 110 degrees in the South.
She loves attention and would sit in your lap all day if she could.

The best home for Delilah will be:
With an owner who has experience with her breed!!
Because of her strength, we recommend children older than 13.
An active family would be best.
Backyard with a high-fenced (preferably not chain link).
Someone who wants the love of a sweet shep girl!!

Her background:
Delilah was left behind when her owners left the home, and the landlord was going to send her to the shelter. She was pregnant, and there was no way we were going to let that happen because her chances to stay alive, as well as her puppies, were about zero.

Once Delilah was safe with a foster, she gave birth to nine beautiful puppies on January 8th. Unfortunately, only seven survived, and two are still waiting to get adopted.

She is so ready to come to NJ when adopted.

Bailey for the corgi lovers!!

Bailey is a 6 month, 24 pound, corgi/ mix with one Blue eye. She and her littermates (Don Julio and Hendricks) are all as cute as can be and very social dogs. They like to sit and be pet and are pretty much laid back pups. Though they are still puppies and also like to play with their toys. They are leash trained and get along well with other dogs.
She's affectionate, friendly, playful.

Female, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped.

Bailey can be cat tested upon request. She is currently in Texas, but upon adoption will be transported to NJ.

Whiskey is with a foster in the tri-state with three other dogs of all sizes. And he wants to go home, really need a home. Please help him by sharing ♥️
Check the video to see what he learned in a very short time and what the fosters think of him.
Whiskey is so lucky to have them.

Whiskey is all puppy! But he’s also a very smart boy! According to his foster mom, “Whiskey does not stop amazing me with how incredibly smart he is and with how much he just likes to please humans! I have no doubt that he would make an amazing therapy or even service dog in the right hands.” Check out his new video showing off some of the skills he's already learned!

He’s got a beautiful, shiny black coat, and his little tail is constantly wagging!
He’s as friendly as can be and likes to kiss your nose.

Unfortunately, taking good pictures of his wiggly 41-pound ball of happiness is hard. But you know what isn't hard? Walking him. He walks very nicely on leash.

Whiskey was born on April 26, 2024, just 2 days after we pulled his very pregnant momma from being killed in the shelter. She gave birth to nine beautiful puppies, so we made toast and named them accordingly!

Now in NJ, his foster mom says:
"Whiskey is a very loving boy! Initially, he was a little shy, but having other dogs show him the ropes built his confidence and character.
He is VERY loving and a Velcro dog.
He is very smart, and though he loves treats, he loves pets even more.
He’s really pleasant to train because he wants to please the human, treats or not. He watches TV and loves comfy couches and beds, but his favorite thing is being outside in the yard. (He could be out there all day if you let him)

He does have some separation anxiety. He does not like to be in the crate and does not enjoy not seeing a human at all times. But with time and positive reinforcement, he’s been improving in the playpen - still working on it.

I try to get pictures of him, but when I go down to his level, he "attacks" me with puppy kisses, and he can’t contain his loving self. "

Whiskey is vaccinated and microchipped. He’s too young to be neutered just yet.

Share, share, share. His owner didn't want him, and now the foster is asking to quickly find a home for this sweetheart. It has nothing to do with Rocky—nothing!!
Little Rocky might have had a rocky start to life, but he’s ready to find happiness. He’s still a young pup at approximately 8 months old. He weighs just 35 pounds and probably won’t get much bigger. He still has his puppy enthusiasm for life, so he’s already learned the word “no” - lol. That’s okay Rocky, you’re still a baby and you will settle down once you’ve found a place to call your own.

Little Rocky was kept tied outside, and one day his owner decided to dump him off at the shelter. One of our rescue partners in Texas saw him and couldn’t let him be put to sleep so she was able to find him a temporary foster home in Texas. He needs to find his forever family soon so he can experience all the joys that life has in store for him.

The foster that has Rocky also has cats and says he will chase them because he wants to play, but he will stop when she says "no". Rocky is good with all other dogs and would love to join your family. He’s still in Texas but can come to NJ on our next transport, once he’s been adopted.

Did you meet Birdie? If you're following our page, and even if you don't remember, you did.
Birdie is growing up in her rescuer's home instead of in her forever family home. And although she gets the care she needs, it is sad, really sad.
Please share for Birdie 🙏

Birdie was found wandering by herself in the streets of Texas. She was just a few pounds and tinier than tiny.

Now she's about 12 months old, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to come to NJ when someone falls in love with her like we did.

Birdie is perfect with other dogs, cats, and humans.
She enjoys sleeping with her foster but loves to rest in her crate.
She loves treats! Which is perfect for easy training.
She is very affectionate.
She's only about 35 lbs; we believe she is fully grown now.
She's currently using p*e pads at her foster home.

Birdie will need some more training on leash walking.
A friendly dog at home would be a great companion for Birdie.
She would welcome an adopter who is loving and willing to be patient with her as she adjusts to her new home.

She is currently in Texas but will be transported to NJ when adopted.

We had a transport today. There's no bad transport. The dogs, well, you won't believe me, but I'm telling you, they are amazing!! But today Baxter was in the van, and that makes this transport super special.
Except for one, who we believe will go home tomorrow, they all went home straight from the van

Baxter - our amazing tripod that his humans disappointed him big time with caring for him, that we had no choice but to amputate his leg.

Rip- who his owners tried to kill all his siblings, and he was the only survivor

Princess - was found sick, only none and skin alone in the middle of nowhere

Potato- this happy boy was tied outside for a full year when the owner decided he had no time for him
The little guy was full of fleas. All his buddy was itching.

Gretchen - about one year old, was dumped. Probably after giving birth. She was found by a good Samaritan, and we asked to find her a home

Each dog that comes to us needs an urgent visit to the vet.
We are very limited with our funds, and as much as we hate asking for donations, we must keep doing it. Mainly because we get so little if at all

No amount is too small to help the dogs that suffer every day

Times are so bad, the numbers of dumped dogs are overwhelming, and we keep getting requests to help
Owners, shelters, rescues, and so on

It's so difficult to decide who we'll try to help and who we'll say, sorry, we want but we can't.

The dogs, most are so skinny, some are sick, and most never went to the vet.
And we are struggling!!
Our funds are gone.
Fosters none
Adopters, not as many as we hope.

And now, in TC, where we do our best to help, our latest heartbreaking additions. We've been called to help dogs and cats in a home where the person who lived there was evicted and went straight to jail
The pictures will do better than us using words.

The dachshund girl went to the vet
The only help for her is pain meds and antibiotics. She's a hospice.😥
One tiny puppy found dead
We still need to trap a few dogs and cats.
The neglect is indescribable, and so is the suffering.

We need help!
Donations of any amount will be so appreciated. Also, if you like to help by fostering a dog, we can take them from the south and bring them to safety.

We just added Uno's pictures.

Black face is Uno, the boy with white on face is Dos. Both are boys around one year plus minus.
We are waiting for more pictures.
They were pulled from the shelter after we got few days extension on their euthanasia date. Thank you to the foster that stepped up - we couldn't have saved them without her.

A side note.
Both located in TX. They already visited the vet today.
They now need a home in NJ area.

Look what a bad picture and good picture do. It determines whether the dog will live or die. If he is adopted or stays in the shelter and goes beyond the rainbow. How sad it is.

Two sweethearts needing a new home.

Zoe is a white husky girl, who is 8 months old.
Spots is a red heeler boy, who is 4 months old.

Both are very friendly and love each other, so if you can adopt them together that would be amazing. However, we will accept applications for each one separately.
They currently live with kids.

Their owner lives in an apartment and the landlord is telling her she has to get rid of them.
They are currently located in TX but if we can find adopters they can arrive in NJ on the November 23rd transport.

23/10/2024

Bishop 10/22/24 Update:

We would like to thank the Petfinder Foundation for choosing Bishop to receive a $600 emergency health grant. This grant is greatly appreciated as Bishop has been back and forth to the vet multiple times. He currently remains "on hold" until the vet determines that his leg has sufficiently healed. For further information on Bishop's journey, please read his background below. And if you are able to help us out further with his veterinary expenses please email [email protected]. We are so grateful for any and all help.

His Background:

Bishop was shot in the leg. Why? Because he was starving and looking for food in someone's yard. He was roaming the area in Texas for a few weeks, looking for food, and no one had helped him. The wonderful lady who witnessed the person shoot him brought him back to her home. She tried her best to take care of his wound on her own. It appeared to have healed from the outside, but unfortunately, it didn’t heal on the inside, so he couldn't use his leg. It was left dangling and useless.

At this point his finder asked for our help, and we took him in. The vet said his bone was shattered, and he was in a great deal of pain. But the good news was that the vet thought he would have a good chance of healing the injury and walking again, so she splinted his leg. Without waiting long, he stood up and asked to go outside to do his business.

On his last vet visit, he got X-rays again, and we were so happy to see that the shattered bones connected on one side of the leg and are looking good. However, on the other side of the leg the bones have not fused yet, so the vet said he needs to rest and limit his activity. That's not been so easy for young Bishop. But we are all doing everything possible to save his leg and give our boy the best life possible.

He is such a sweet boy—he loves everyone, is playful, and is an overall good boy.
After his leg heals, he will be ready to go home to his new family, where he won't have to worry about anyone hurting him again.

He is estimated to be around 18 months old.

Bishop is currently in Texas but will be transported to NJ when he'll be ready and adopted.

Please do share them!

Meet our sweet Brandy.
Brandy loves life and knows how to make the most out of it. That being said, there are three things she especially loves: kids, playing with empty water jugs, and other dogs.

Brandy is approximately 18 months old, and 51lbs. She is spayed, fully vetted, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
She is okay with cats, but they are not ok with her. She is curious about them, chases them as a game - never hurt them.
Brandy loves kids and all people.
She gets along well with other dogs of all-sizes.
She loves water and taking baths.
She’s housebroken.
She knows her name, understands sit, stay, and come, and is generally well-behaved.
She’s strong and playful.

The best-fit family for Brandy would be an active family that goes hiking. She’d also make a great running buddy. She would love going on long walks and would really appreciate a fenced yard where she can run and play. Second friendly dog will make her so happy.

Brandy's background :
Brandy was dumped out on the streets and left to fend for herself. A sweet lady found her and decided to bring her home. According to her, Brandy is a sweetheart. But she’s also a strong and energetic girl and her finder is a lady in her mid-70s who can't give her what she needs. So she asked us to find Brandy the best home possible for her.

Brandy being fostered in TX and she'll be so happy to find a home of her own in NJ.

18/10/2024

I'll be straightforward: I can't understand how beautiful, friendly, and good nature dogs being "saved" by pulling from high kill shelters or saved from the street or a horrible owner, and they end up in a cage as big as it is, it's a cage, for a year, almost two and no interest at all.

Today we'll start sharing those dogs. It's not the first time, but I'm praying the last
And remember, any dog that comes to NJ leaves behind an empty place that will be filled in no time with another dog in desperate need.
Those kennels never stay empty!!

Holly and four other dogs were saved from being euthanized at the last minute. It was Christmas time. Everyone said it was a Christmas miracle. All went home, but poor Holly

Her foster describes Holly as an energetic and outgoing dog who loves to be active.
One of her favorite games is fetch; she can even catch the ball in mid-air… sometimes!
More than anything, Holly craves being close to her people and is eager to please.
She adores being petted anywhere and will happily drop into your lap for belly rubs and snuggles—she’s genuinely a big cuddle bug.

Holly would thrive in a home with an active person or couple who enjoys involving their dog in their daily activities. However, if left alone in the backyard, she'll need a high, non-chain-link fence to keep her safe.

When it comes to other dogs, Holly is a kind of alfa dog, so the best for her is to go to a family with no other dog or cat.

She generally gets along with dogs, but it must fit. Hence, she can be introduced to other dogs after she gets comfortable in her new home.

Holly is athletic and will be great with the agility course
She's smart
She's loving
She's playful
She's energetic
She needs a home and someone to love and be loved.

She is fully vetted and ready to come to NJ.

We are happy that beautiful baby Gretchen coming to NJ at the end of the month.
If you are a big, beautiful, sweet, dog person, don't wait

Beautiful Gretchen is about one year old and 75 lbs.
Being fostered in a home with other large dogs and young children, all of which she's getting along well with.
Foster said she is housebroken.
Great with people.
Gentle, and sweet to kids.
She's fully vetted and microchipped.
This is what the lady is saying

She loves being petted, scratched. She is warming to the brush.
She is super chill and so far hasn’t met a treat she doesn’t adore.
She likes to be in the house.
Prefers to be with humans.
She likes the couch.
She does not like cats.
She has a toy she chose here but toys are still a bit of a mystery.

My name is Leonard Skynard (Lenny) and I am guaranteed to rock your world, In a good way of course. I am a a 6 month old mix of pure perfection, that’s what my foster mom says. I weigh about 45 pounds and growing by the minute. I’m a very good boy. I am playful but I also love a good nap. I am young so I am used to hearing, no Lenny, drop it Lenny, give me that Lenny but I’m learning. I live with 3 other dogs and I just love them. I also live with 3 other furry things that meow. I do like to chase them but I mean no harm. I am crate trained and I go right in without a p*ep. I am doing great with my house breaking. I am a fun guy. I would make a great family member to any family.

Pray for Bishop, our amazing boy, we've been trying to save his leg for the last month.
Part was heald but the other part is not getting better.
He had at least 4 visits to the vet and today the vet is coming especially for him, since his bone popped out of the skin. Each visit he gets xrays and he's put under anesthesia, because he has great pain in that area and he can't be treated.
We are over $1500 vet payment and we will appreciate any help you can offer. If you want to sponsor Bishop that would be so helpful.

Dwarf is a charming 4.5 month old chihuahua/heeler mix, weighing 18 pounds and fully vaccinated. He is expected to stay on the smaller side as he grows. Dwarf came to us from a rural high-kill shelter, along with his mom and three siblings. Sadly, he’s the last of his siblings to be adopted, and we can’t figure out why - he’s an absolute delight!

The little guy gets along wonderfully with all dogs, people, and kids. While he hasn’t been around cats, we’re happy to arrange a cat test if needed. Dwarf would fit perfectly with almost any type of family and would thrive in a loving home.

Dwarf is currently in Texas but will be transported to NJ when adopted.
