I am setting times for the vaccination clinic this upcoming week. I have messaged everyone who said that they were interested. I do need a bit more information from some - then I will generate times to either bring in your birds or to pick up vaccines. If you are interested but have not heard back from me - let me know and we can set up a time.

07/12/2023

Well it looks like we have some interest in an upcoming vaccination clinic. We are located at 1460 Gordon St Guelph. We will be beside Campus Estates Animal Hospital. If you are interested in attending the clinic - please message us and I will assign a time to show up. If you are wanting to pick up vaccines to do this at home - that works as well. In the previous post I listed the information that will be required. Dr. Nickey Brown

Our next vaccination clinic will be Thursday May 25th 6-8pm. This will be our last clinic for the season. We are not able to do the one in June.
The vaccines that will be offered are Mareks, Newcastle/bronchitis, salmonella, e coli, ILT and cocci. The exact vaccines will depend on age of your chicks/hens, vaccination status and what vaccines can be given at the same time.

There are 2 options
1) pick up vaccines to vaccinate your flock once you get home
2) bring your birds for us to vaccinate

We are located at 1460 Gordon St Guelph - beside Campus Estates Animal Hospital

Costs are all outlined on earlier post

If you would like to attend, please message us and we will assign you a time to arrive. I will need your address (including postal code) phone number, full name if you use something different on Facebook and e-mail address. I will also need to know number of birds, approx age of the birds and previous vaccines.

Get your birds vaccinated to help prevent disease!

Lots of questions regarding the vaccination clinic this week - I will answer in a post for all to read.
1) We do not ship vaccines. When we do a clinic, we make up the vaccines so that it can be split amongst may chicks/chickens to help reduce cost. Once they are made up, they are only good for 2 hours. You can purchase vaccines from us prior to mixing so you can do a large quantity at home, but the cost will go up as they are often for 500, 1000 or 2000 animals. I still don't ship these.
2) Vaccines that we offer; Mareks, ILT, Newcastle/bronchitis, salmonella, e coli, cocci vaccine. Not all are given at the same time, and some are based on age - we determine that based on the age of the flock, previous vaccination status.
3) We are located at 1460 Gordon St Guelph, we run the clinic beside Campus Estates Animal Hospital.
4) The other dates for vaccination clinics as posted are May 25th and June 22nd - NOTE the June date will likely change - I will post if it does.

09/04/2023

Our next vaccination clinic will be this Thursday April 13th 6-8pm. Please let us know if you would like to bring in your chicks/chickens to be vaccinated or would like to bring vaccines home to do yourselves. I have had a few people reach out and I will be responding on Monday.
Happy Easter.

It appears to be mite season in the chicken world! Wow we are getting a lot of messages about treatment of mites and lice. We do have a product called Ectiban that we use to treat mites. If we have not seen you before, we will need to set up a telemedicine appointment first to establish a client relationship. You can message us on this site and we can set up a time. From there we can determine what medication is required for your flock. If you need mite treatment we can get this for you.

Chicken season is upon us. As we get ready to add to our flocks, get our birds ready to go outside there are few things that we need to remember. Birds can carry contagious diseases that can spread from bird to bird, but also from bird to people. Here is great article on Avian Influenza. Things to keep in mind when you are setting up biosecurity for your flock.
