Hey all, I need your help 😊

You don't have to be local to answer, would a tack cleaning service that's mobile be something you would use?
As I appreciate myself I wouldn't want to hand over my tack to potentially a stranger to clean at home!

I love cleaning tack, I take great care while handling & cleaning and I pay alot of attention to detail to make sure every nook & cranny is cleaned!
So I'm thinking of a service where I visit your yard & clean onsite, I would be looking to charge per set of tack. So suits either a livery yard or owner with multiple horses.

I have recently been cleaning & refurbishing some tack so looking to eventually be able to touch up cosmetic damage and dye leather when needed.

Hi all, here's to a good start to 2024 👋

I have recently changed my contract at my employment to give myself more flexibility (*horse time 🤣) But this does mean I can offer out my tack & yard cleaning services again, message me if I can help with anything ✨

I am still fully insured, I'm not currently taking on horse care or dog walking clients regularly but may be able to help with one offs 😊

Wow what a fab 8 months it's been ❤️
It's been a pleasure to meet all of my clients and their fur babies. It has been really really busy the last few months I am very grateful.

I am sad to say as of mid September I will be limiting my services, however I am overjoyed to be starting my training towards becoming a veterinary nurse. I took a risk going part time and providing these services on top meant I could do so.

Thank you so much to all my clients 🙏🥰

Developing Empathy

Frustrated by your horse? Try this---

Go for a run. Yes, you, human rider. Intersperse your run with sets of push-ups. See how long it takes before you lose athletic buoyancy, before you “just can’t.”

Fatigue in a horse, which is pretty much the same thing that you just felt, creates leaning, tripping, stumbling, slow reactions, poor coordination, lugging on the hand, all sorts of what you may be mistaking for “bad behavior.”

The tired horse will feel just like a “disobedient” horse. And then what will happen to that horse if the rider doesn’t tune into the horse’s fatigue? You know exactly what will happen to the horse. It will get drilled on. Drilled on just when the exact opposite should happen.

Trainers who lack the ability to sense what the horse is going through are among the worst drillers, and they create tense, scared, resistant horses, and they then do something even worse, they blame the horse.

Change your mind set. Think how YOU would feel if you had gotten beyond your limits and then got ground on and punished to fix your bad behavior.

You think I’m kidding? You think this isn’t going to happen today, all across the world where people ride and drive horses? That unfit for the task horses won’t be cranked and pressured? Dream on.

The best thing that you can do if your goal is to become a competent trainer is to constantly be aware of your own frustration meter. And stop before you create damage, physical and emotional injury and distress. Get a little and end on that. If even a little seems elusive, DO NOT GRIND. Go walk, try again tomorrow. Don’t add fear and anxiety to the training process.

I will say this one more time---“Don’t add fear and anxiety to the training process.”

Why am I saying this so often? Because if I had learned this decades sooner, I would have been a far better trainer and horse person---That’s why. Learn, if you are capable of doing so, from the mistakes that others have made. Do not drill your horse.

𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗶𝗽 - 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀

This great in-hand exercise encourages and improves:
🔹 Lateral suppleness
🔹 Core control
🔹 Coordination
🔹 Proprioception

As you walk your horse on the serpentine between the poles he must bring his hind and front legs closer together to negotiate the grid - core muscles are recruited and the back is rounded.

This is why I love doing dog walks 😄😍

Hi everyone, I'd like to introduce myself to my followers who may not know me especially moving to a new area!

I'm 28 years old and I've owned dogs, horses, cats & rabbits previously since the age of 3. Animals have always been a huge part of my life & I adore them, even down to spiders and creepy crawlies!

Equestrian experience (We could be here all day!!) We had our first horse, a geriatric ex-racehorse with alot of opinions, when I was 11 years old and literally spent every waking hour on a weekend at a riding school for alot of my teens and my first job was exercising a horse at 14 which lead to working in a boarding kennels part time for a few years. I have since worked in eventing yards & racing, as well as managing a rehab and retraining program for retired racehorses.

I already provide horse care to regular clients in Wanborough, and I'm now looking to provide dog walking on a small scale.

My walks are based on providing a great service to one client's beloved pets at a time, meaning they get as much attention as possible and can enjoy walks safely.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have or just introduce yourself if it's something that I may help with in future! 😊

Kind regards

Absolutely ❤️🐶🐾
