Never take safety for granted.
I just got rolled this evening during feeding by a bunch of mares. Two warmbloods, a thorougbred, a Hosteiner/TB and
Friesian/Percheron. One pushes the other and the domino effect ends with the human rolling across the mud.
Never get too confident.
You are most likely to get hurt by horses you trust the most.

I’m not injured, but I’m going to be damn sore in the morning. I’m sure I’ll have more than one hoove shaped bruise.
Safety is no accident!

We are looking for part time barn/stable help at Blackberry Stables, Leicester, WNC! Morning and evening feeding shifts, stall cleaning and general horse care.
For pay or work/lessons exchange. It’s a great opportunity for college students and responsible teens after school. And you get to hang out withh horses!
