Thought after all this time we would introduce ourselves. Not the best of pictures but this is us, the ones behind Stella's Sweaters .

I learned to knit from my neighbour when I was about 7. She taught myself and my friend Alex, oh the patience that lady must have had!! Some day I will find the first project I made which was a scarf for my Great Grandma. Started probably with 40 starches and in spots had maybe 18 and dropped stitches everywhere. She loved it though. All through my life I have been blessed to have animals. I was the one who use to bring stray dogs home saying they followed me....a peanut butter and banana sandwich actually brought them home. Kittens from the neighborhood would find a place in the barn and babysitting money bought the meow mix.

Stella was a 9 week old puppy who came in via Heart & Soul Dog and cat rescue from Long Plains First Nations in Manitoba. We had saw a picture of her and that is all we knew...funny thing is she was not the pup in the picture but still has the mixed eyes and was love at first sight. She has been an amazing girl who loves everyone. She has also given back as a blood donor for the emergency vet for the blood bank for dogs that are needing transfusions.

So together we created Stella's Sweaters. A portion of all Stella's Sweaters goes to Heart & Soul as a thank you for bringing us together💜🐾💜
