Picture and video dump of this weekend’s competition!! I can not say how proud I am of this horse! We placed 3rd In our body conditioning class, 4th in showmanship, 4th in trail, and 8th overall!!! I can not say thank you enough to all those you have supported me and helped me through these 100 days I couldn’t have done it with out the support of my amazing family and friends! ♥️ I made some good new friends this weekend and want to say congratulations to them cause they all did fantastic!! Also I can’t wait to do this again I have learned more this weekend then I had ever hoped to! ♥️

Here it is!!! Our trail course video!! She absolutely blew me away with how well she did. She got stuck at the back and had to move on. During our freestyle she decided it was the perfect time to show everyone she could canter! (First time actually cantering her ever!!) ❤️❤️

First day down! Showmanship went really well she was so calm the whole time. I couldn’t be prouder of this mare! ♥️🥰

We’ve made it, a hundred days later and a lot of hard, loving work pays off. I’m so proud of this girl . She came from snorting at us in a parking lot to posing like the best of them ♥️ Love you to the moon sweet girl

Okay!! I need help lol!! So as you see this little miss decided to rub part of her mane off (stinker haha) should I 1. Leave it as it is 2. Cut the rest of the hair to match the shorter stuff 3. Braid it and hope you can’t see it 🤞😂

I know I haven’t posted in FOREVER! but…. Wisteria has been up to some amazing things as you know she spent all summer at miracle ranch with me. I figured out she loves baths, she got her feet trimmed for the first time about a week ago she did absolutely amazing stood so still the whole time she even started to falls asleep! Most recently wisteria was at the Kitsap county fair all week long! This horse continues to amaze me everyday she had no issues all week long. There where so many people everywhere she would let them walk right up to her and pet her! I even showed her in showmanship and placed 2nd then In Hand Trail to place 1st! I can’t believe it’s almost competition time we leave Thursday!!

I haven’t posted in a while I have been so busy working out at Miracle Ranch. But… Wisteria has been doing great! Has a couple more rides on her and is great with other and multiple people around at once! Lots and lots of other fun stuff happening with her…. Also has an abscess we are working out so not much going to be done over the next couple of days. ♥️

LOOK! Wisterias first time having someone else work with her! She was a rockstar! got lead around first time over poles and had her feet picked up! Thank you Sara bell for helping and working with my pony! ♥️

We have been doing lots and lots of hanging out. To make catching easier and it WORKING! she now walks up to me let’s me pet her face without being haltered!! Also been doing quite a bit of ground work. She’s coming along very nicely ☺️

I have been feeling quite under the weather this last week and because of that Wisteria has had Thursday and Saturday off and a very short session on Friday working on the canter while lunging. Also I haven’t gotten many pictures or videos cause I have been by myself. But….. I feel like know is a good time to tell all of you about the raffle fundraiser that the mustang adopted challenge is doing. You do not have to be present to win drawings will happen and the competition in September. It’s $10 a ticket. The four things you could win are on the back of the ticket and in the picture on the right. ♥️♥️

I have been so busy I forgot to post sorry!😅 here are some pictures of everything we have been working on the last couple of days. First time in a barn, first time in a stall, more tying, saddling/grooming while tied, second ride(she did amazing! Also won’t let me post the whole video 😭) farrier prep(rasped her feet and put on fattier stand acted like she had done it her whole life), first canter while being lunged, and first time in an arena. I’m so beyond proud of this mare ♥️♥️

Day #32
First time outta the round pen since being moved, and first time being worked since Wednesday (I wanted to give her a few days to settle in) she didn’t forget one thing!! We mostly just hung out and walked around but we did go over some of the basics even started teaching to move away from pressure when moving her forehand and hind end ♥️

Photo and picture dump!! I haven’t been able to post or update for the last couple of days due to my phone being broke but…. Thanks to my lovely parents it’s all fixed now ♥️ here is a bunch of stuff we have been working on. catching/haltering, trailer loading, deworming!, ground work such as backing tying, personal space, FIRST ride!!! Picking up her feet on command, and just hanging out getting know each other ♥️♥️

Day #25
Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days 😭 my phone was broke and didn’t let me post.
But the last couple days we have been up to a lot. Worked on saddling she getting super comfortable with it now, went for a trail ride all tacked she was cool as a cucumber, been brushing her and handling her feet everyday, I can pick up and hold all four feet no problem, been working on being able to walk up to catch her, also this little miss earned to have her halter off! ♥️

Day #22
I couldn’t get any videos cause my phone is out of storage. But LOOK!!! First saddling! Handled it like she had been saddled her whole life! She didn’t spook even a little. Also picked out all four of her feet she is getting more and more comfortable and confident each day. ♥️♥️

Day # 21
Officially three weeks with the girl!! Worked on tons of stuff today!! Worked with the saddle pad it was like she had done it 100 times before! I can now pick up all four feet! (Farrier visit will be soon) Wisterias first time out of the round pen! I walked her all around by hand then ponyed her on a walk! She did so good! She’s turning out to be a wonderful horse ♥️ I tried to post this yesterday but for some reason it didn’t work 🤦‍♀️

Day # 20
Today I really worked on getting her to lead better I used my horse Charlie to pony her around the round pen. She did great! Kept slack in the rope almost the whole time. They also both really like cuddles and definitely weren’t jealous when I would pet one and not the other 😂 also worked on the beginning steps of working with her feet!

Day # 19
Progress!!! Today we worked on a lot of desensitization. I did the handy stick, the rope, the halter. I brushed and braided her hair. Got a new halter on her and decided she ready to have the drag line off. I’m so proud of her she has come so far in such a short amount of time 🥰

Day #17
Wisteria had three days off cause I had a wonderful opportunity to watch, help, and support my younger sister and her teammates that made it to state in WAHSET. I got to watch tons of amazing events and her drill team qualify for regionals!! I did a short session with Wisteria and I think she missed me 🥰 she did not forgot one thing over those three days she actually went from not wanting me to touch her face to literally putting her head on me and falling asleep in my arms ♥️♥️

Day #13!!!!
Ahhh I couldn’t wait to share this with you all!!
Guess who’s no longer just a number!! Everyone meet Wisteria (aka Little Miss)🥰. She is such a rockstar mare I couldn’t have asked for a better one. She has come so far in the short amount of time I have had her and can’t wait to see how far she can go ♥️ At the end of todays session she even decided she liked face scratches 😄
Shoutout to today’s camera man Gabe! (My younger brother) He was so excited to be able to video for me.

First video, little miss here got introduced to the curry comb I would say she liked it 😂

I’m so HAPPY with this mare! I was able to add a longer lead to the end of her drag line. I got to work on lunging a bit and giving to pressure she also allowed me to lead her around the round pen some! I could have gotten her number tag off I just didn’t have someone to film it lol 😆(She still doesn’t want me rubbing her face but is totally chill with me rubbing all over her body I even put my arm across her back!)

Day # 10
Progress is progress! She is now letting me walk up to her and pet her without first using the handy stick. I have been working towards her being comfortable with me being near her head and touching it. I am hoping to get the tag off soon and add a longer lead ♥️

Day #9
I want to start off with a huge thank you to all who answered my questions and gave me advice. We had a breakthrough today! She let me walk up and pet her! I used the handy stick to rub all over her then switched to petting her with my hand. She is not a huge fan of me being by her head yet but will let me pet her hind end up to her withers. ❤️

Day #7
Officially one week with little miss today 😊 still nothing extremely exciting just doing a lot of hanging out. She is getting a lot more comfortable being around and eating right next to me. She even tried to eat my sweater. But still won’t let me pet her or anything. She walks away every time I try and walk up to her. learning to be a lot more patient and take things slower. This mare has already taught me so much. ❤️

Day #6
Lots of firsts for little miss today! Did a lot of hanging out I sat and chilled with her while she ate her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She came up to me all by herself and nuzzled me for the first time! She tried a bit of grain for the first time and LOVED it lol. (Thanks Purina and Wilco for the feed and sponsoring the Teens And Oregon Mustangs) She also really like my younger brother Gabe. She walks up to him almost anytime he walks by 🥰
She also managed to get her tag over her ears. I’m hoping it doesn’t come all the way off so I have the honor of taking it off when she allows me to.

Day #5
Lots and lots of trial and error but so excited cause today was the first day little miss came and actually ate out of my hand. She even ate most her dinner out of my hand. She is such a sweet mare just scared. She is going to do many amazing things when she warms up to me.

Well there’s not really much so say. Was out there for hours and not much to show. She is still very cautious and hasn’t really let me get close since day 2 🤷‍♀️😕

Didn’t do to much just hung out and tried to bribe her to love me with grass 😂😂 but I think she like the yellow cup better than anything.

Day #2
Huge progress today! lunged her in both directions. working on bending and giving. She even wanted to come to me when I stoped but still a bit unsure and nervous. She let me pet and rub all over her right side. She was quite skittish and when she first got her but is warming up to me quite quickly.

Day #1
Working on earning her trust. First touch today!
I would walk with her till she stoped walking. As soon as she stoped I would just turn and walk away from her. Taking off all pressure so she eventually figured out that if she simply didn’t walk away there was no “pressure”. She was very interested and in the video you can see her start to follow me which is an excellent sign of growing trust. She was still a little to nervous for me to get much closer but after about 45 mins of this exercise she allowed me to give her a small pet 😊 (I included a short video of todays exercise)
Side note: I did not put the lead rope on she came loaded in the trailer with it and as soon as I am able will remove it.

She was so calm on our 8 hour drive home! She is now unloaded, settling in and eating her first meal at her new home. ❤️
