In my culture, we’re taught that no animal product should ever thrown away or wasted. That means any sheepskin offcuts are repurposed into retrieval tabs!

A-grade tabs can also be made to order, but we’ve never seen a dog worry about whether a tab is a uniform shape or an offcut 😉

This bundle is going out to a very lucky Golden Retriever!

Another apology/update post is in order 😅 This is long and maybe too personal but I value my customers too much to give half hearted excuses.

I am running a little behind on custom orders currently. A good friend passed away quite suddenly and unexpectedly less than 2 weeks after a close family friend also passed away, in July.

To put it lightly I haven’t taken it well and honestly Stitches has taken a backseat. When I’m not in the right headspace, I make mistakes, and I would hate to mess up someone’s custom gear so those were temporarily shelved.

Sansa has been an absolute gem and supported me through everything including the funeral last week. While my mental health is somewhat better, my physical health decided I’ve been tense for too long and has nosedived 🙈

My plan is to have everything except possibly the GWM harnesses dispatched by Monday, the GWMs I shouldn’t need more than another week or so at max.

Any payment plan customs under 40% paid are not affected by these delays.

Messages will be opened and answered ASAP also.

I will be posting a range of premade collars in the next couple of days. These were finished way before these custom slots were even opened, the photos have just been sitting in my camera roll for weeks 🙈

Leatherwork customs are closed temporarily from now onwards and I will be working on a 6-8 week timescale for anything else to give my body a much needed break.

Custom slots will be temporarily closing for mobility harnesses and rigid handles sometime in the next 1-2 months - likely from early to mid August onwards, give or take. There will also be a period of up to 8 weeks coming up where I won’t be able to take custom orders for any products at all.

Unfortunately I have no definite dates in place yet but I will update as soon as I have news.

This will not affect work on any orders placed before closing.

This is only temporary - life is due to change a lot for me in the coming months (in the best ways!) and I need to use my spoons (energy) wisely.

As mentioned I don have any dates in place yet but I would encourage anyone who’s wanting a custom product, particularly items with a longer production time, and who requires delivery before late Autumn/early Winter 2024 to purchase a slot ASAP 💛

This Grow With Me order also came with a Grow With Me handle!
G-W-M handles are less bulky than our standard adjustable handles due to the difference in hardware and leather weight & width. They feature a triglide for easy adjustment and a removable bridge to keep its shape when fully extended.

This is a great way to gradually introduce your dog to a longer handle on their back, as well as giving you an idea of what length may work best before ordering a mobility/guide set.

G-W-M handles are available from £15 each.

Note: My camera can’t pick up purple tones correctly - the handle and harness match each other perfectly in person 🙈

The GWM range feature lightweight leather and easily replaceable chest & girth straps so they can be swapped out as the dog grows. These can be posted by us for you to attach, so no back and forth posting either!

GWM harnesses are available from £55. A kind, gentle way to introduce your pup to wearing a mobility harness and it should last your dog all the way from puppyhood until they’re cleared for mobility.

* Rivets are typically only used on lightweight harnesses - our mobility/guide products are stitched for complete security and safety.

Baloo has been with me for 9 years and has got me through too much to begin to list. After ££££ in diagnostics, we still aren’t sure what we are looking at. While he is insured, reimbursement takes time and in the interim, funds are needed to continue his care.

Some will say it’s unprofessional to post something so personal but I know if anyone can understand the lengths you’d go to for your heart animal, it’s the assistance dog community. I’m not asking for charity but if you were considering ordering, whether it’s a single paracord tab or a harness, it would be incredibly helpful 💛

Things have been quiet this week due to life being anything but! I’ll hopefully have some order updates to post by this time next week.

I still have this beautiful set which is now complete with straps and ready to post. Will fit small border collie - GSD size and now comes with a semi-rigid guide handle. Would really like to get this set to its new home before life changes even more in the following few weeks! 💛
