Great news Wilson County! One of our community's biggest and best animal supporters, Deby Korczyk, is sponsoring an all-cat day on Friday November 22 2024 when spay or neuter of any cat is just $50, including vaccinations and a microchip. Deby volunteers with animal handling at every one of our Friday spay neuter clinics, and has been moved to do this by the people in our community seeking to prevent unwanted litters. That’s just through the beginning of September! There were 34 fixed at APL through the end of September, and I know we fixed 49 in October at APL alone! That’s more than 80 in two months that will NEVER contribute to our population explosion! Unheard of numbers! We have also maxed out our applications each of the last 3 months at 100!!We’re so happy to be fixing so many babies, with over 330 vouchers written this year already! We MUST be doing some good! Let’s keep it going!!!!

Sitting here once again reading all these posts and getting messages about puppies and kittens…and not the good ones. Not the cute ones all happy and healthy and playing in their homes.

The sad ones…the desperate ones…the ones with nobody to feed, water and love them. 😞

This is why I have Fix TXK.

Until I just can’t take it anymore, I will continue this most important mission, because as sad as it makes me to see these things, it makes me that much happier every time one of these dogs or cats sees that best day of the rest of their lives…the day they are spayed or neutered!

We are starting a new doggie raffle now, with an xtra large orthopedic dog bed and a Deluxe Bark Box to start off with until I can post other prizes that will go with them. All other donations are always welcome too!!

Please help us spay and neuter as many as possible, and knowing that in the process we are helping ALL the rescues in the area by preventing the unwanted puppies and kittens that they are so overwhelmed with!

I’d like to give a huge thank you to the The City of Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana Texas Animal Services for their help in getting many more animals fixed with their help than we could have ever done without them! Talk about impactful teamwork! I sure hope we can continue to keep up this pace and make a difference in reducing the over-population of our animals in Texarkana and the surrounding communities! Together we can really make things happen!
