It's a happy day for Dennis today! He was on his last day at the shelter in Los Angeles when his owners didn't come for him and he had no adoption interest. We saw so much life and s***k in this kid so we pulled him and hoped his forever person would find him. Today is the day! Dennis gets to be in a warm home for the holidays so we decided to put a red sweater with matching green harness on him to show his spirit. He is one lucky boy. We love you, Dennis! Have the best life ever! ❤️

1) ADOPT - Many local shelters are having December adoption promotions to get the animals out of the shelter and into loving homes. Here are a few...
- FREE ADOPTIONS at Front Street Animal Shelter - City of Sacramento until Dec 31st, Stanislaus Animal Shelter, FREE Adoptions until Dec 23rd, Northwest SPCA certain sponsored free adoptions and all others are $25 until the 28th, Chico Animal Shelter (On The Road To Rescue) will sponsor 10 adoptions - reach out for reimbursement), Colusa Animal Shelter (We will sponsor ALL pet adoption fees until the 23rd), All LA City Shelters have reduced fees the weekend of Dec 21st and 22nd & the following weekend, San Bernardino City Shelter free adoptions Dec 1-17, Sacramento Bradshaw Animal Shelter Free adoptions to pets at the shelter past 30 days, so many more so please check your local shelter for adoption promotions.
2). DONATE
Your local shelter and rescues could use a hand so please reach out to see what you can donate directly to them
3.) VOLUNTEER
Want to make a difference, volunteer at your local shelter! Call them to see what they need. It will change your life.
4.) FOSTER
So many homes needed to help get the dogs out and into a loving home and your temporary space could be just what they need to find a forever home and it's free to do so! So rewarding!
5) KEEP YOUR PETS
Work on keeping your pets by seeking help with training or finding other ways to keep them out of the shelters.

I (Alison) started this journey by volunteering at my local shelter and then bringing dogs home so they could get a break from the shelter environment. Usually, they would crash and sleep. Once again, we don’t understand how this little potato named Dennis has zero adoption applications. Absolutely no interest. How can that be? He is adorable. We are hoping our Facebook family can share him to be seen so he can spend the holidays with his new forever family. He had a family once… they never came to get him at the shelter. 💔

Thank you for thinking of us on giving Tuesday. We pulled these two (Dennis and Frida - both adopted!) from different shelters on different days and they bonded quickly. We think they know. Dogs know.
They went for checkups at the vet today and are looking for their forever families (together or separate). We thank you so much for anything you can spare to help us with all of our dogs looking for homes. Every penny goes to the cost of each dog we rescue. We are grateful to you!

She is as sweet as they come. At just one year old, she is mellow and has a soft play style. She loves other sweet dogs, kids and adults. We think she will do well with cats, too. She loves to snuggle with her person and her dog friends. She was saved from an overcrowded shelter and is looking for a quiet loving forever home. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Meet Dennis!
It was love at first sight for us, too. This adorable senior pug mix has so much life to live! He is around 10 years old and 20LBS. He has an adorable tongue that sticks out most of the time because he just has a long tongue. He has a big personality to match his cuteness (check out his video!). He gets along with dogs and people and knows basic commands. He also does an adorable twirl when it’s time to eat. He’s housebroken, fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. It was love at first sight.
We walk our fosters together everyday in the park in our town and the one day I decided to put an "adopt me" bandana on Molly, her forever person saw her and instantly fell in love. Nicole is a dog walker in town and had two pups with her but she had to stop to love on Molly for as long as possible. As the days went on, she couldn't stop thinking of her and knew she had to add Molly to her loving pack. It was meant to be. Molly will live forever in a loving home with two other dogs her age and size to play with and will be a helper dog in pack walks for Nicole's business in town (The Daly Dog). We are so thrilled for Molly, especially after spending months in a crowded shelter with no interest. She's a love bug. Thank you all for sharing to get this girl seen! We love you, Molly!

How can that be? We have no idea.
Please let's get this girl seen! We rescued her from an overcrowded shelter and she deserves the best life she can get. She's only one year old, 49 lbs and has the soul of an older dog... gentle and playful. I love her so much and would keep her if I didn't have three already.
