Sweet Dennis is back with us. Sometimes it doesn't work with adopters, but that just means his perfect home is still out there for him. He is around 6-8 years old, playful, couch lounger, buddy to other dogs and people, and could live with cats. He really just wants a person to call his own. He loves to snuggle with you on the couch and take walks and adventures. I mean, look at that face! We love him so much and can't wait for him to find the right home. Please share! Thank you so much, for doing an amazing job at grooming sweet Ruby. She looks like a poodle now! Swipe to see her “before” look. She’s never been groomed in her life and now she looks and feels amazing. We are so grateful to people like Katie that help sweet rescue dogs to look their best. We are surprised that Ruby (ADOPTED) AND Penny have 0 interest! They are amazing dogs that will make someone very happy. Both have been to the vet and are ready to find their forever homes. It's a happy day for Dennis today! He was on his last day at the shelter in Los Angeles when his owners didn't come for him and he had no adoption interest. We saw so much life and s***k in this kid so we pulled him and hoped his forever person would find him. Today is the day! Dennis gets to be in a warm home for the holidays so we decided to put a red sweater with matching green harness on him to show his spirit. He is one lucky boy. We love you, Dennis! Have the best life ever! ❤️

- FREE ADOPTIONS at Front Street Animal Shelter - City of Sacramento until Dec 31st, Stanislaus Animal Shelter, FREE Adoptions until Dec 23rd, Northwest SPCA certain sponsored free adoptions and all others are $25 until the 28th, Chico Animal Shelter (On The Road To Rescue) will sponsor 10 adoptions - reach out for reimbursement), Colusa Animal Shelter (We will sponsor ALL pet adoption fees until the 23rd), All LA City Shelters have reduced fees the weekend of Dec 21st and 22nd & the following weekend, San Bernardino City Shelter free adoptions Dec 1-17, Sacramento Bradshaw Animal Shelter Free adoptions to pets at the shelter past 30 days, so many more so please check your local shelter for adoption promotions.
2). DONATE
Your local shelter and rescues could use a hand so please reach out to see what you can donate directly to them
3.) VOLUNTEER
Want to make a difference, volunteer at your local shelter! Call them to see what they need. It will change your life.
4.) FOSTER
So many homes needed to help get the dogs out and into a loving home and your temporary space could be just what they need to find a forever home and it's free to do so! So rewarding!
5) KEEP YOUR PETS
Work on keeping your pets by seeking help with training or finding other ways to keep them out of the shelters.

Hi Friends! Want to be a hero? Do you want to know what unconditional love feels like? Become a foster! I (Alison) started this journey by volunteering at my local shelter and then bringing dogs home so they could get a break from the shelter environment. Usually, they would crash and sleep. If you live in Chico, we could use your help! It's free to foster... we supply everything you need! All you will need to supply is a safe space for them and lots of love so they know they are safe. Once again, we don’t understand how this little potato named Dennis has zero adoption applications. Absolutely no interest. How can that be? He is adorable. We are hoping our Facebook family can share him to be seen so he can spend the holidays with his new forever family. He had a family once… they never came to get him at the shelter. 💔

Thank you for thinking of us on giving Tuesday. We pulled these two (Dennis and Frida - both adopted!) from different shelters on different days and they bonded quickly. We think they know. Dogs know.
They went for checkups at the vet today and are looking for their forever families (together or separate). We thank you so much for anything you can spare to help us with all of our dogs looking for homes. Every penny goes to the cost of each dog we rescue. We are grateful to you!
