ADOPT ME!! Europe is back with us after her adoption just wasn’t a good fit. She’s at our Adoption Center and adjusting to the new surroundings. Europe is a sweetheart. Once she really gets comfortable with her new Person, she will be super snuggly and will be lovey and cuddly every night and anytime you sneak in a nap.

Penny had a lovely Kitty Meet today! She was really sweet but still not digging the other Kittys and they stressed her a bit. The Potential Adopter even spoke to her Foster for a glimpse of her personality in a home setting. Penny needs all your good vibes in hopes this is a Purrfect Match!

Hiiii Friends!! Hopefully everyone is keeping warm!! Brrrr!!

We only have Renee listed for today and Mel (scratch that. Just Debbie for Open House!) for tomorrow!! If anyone can stop by either during the day or even to help out in the afternoon…!!!

Saturday is Caturday Open House!! As it stands, Debbie will be there, but it would always be nice for our friends and neighbors to meet more of us and us to meet each other!

I will be at the shop on Sunday to work on some maintenance stuff and put up our window lights! If anyone would like to join me, I never turn away a set of hands!!

And the Kittys ALWAYS love company!!

HALP!! We’ve been a little quiet about Onion as he’s been a bit of a mystery: out of nowhere and no apparent reason, he shrieks! A shriek I have never heard in all my years of rescue and veterinary medicine. He didn’t present any pain on immediate examinations. Just a mystery! It wasn’t stopping, so we brought him to the vet and came home with pain meds that he absolutely despised!!

Poor thing, has started shrieking more often and leaving f***l matter behind. And then quickly he got to fairly consistently. Back to the vet; this time we went for xrays.

The very base of his tail is bone on bone where there should be space and cushion from the discs. Having lived with this myself, he’s in a lot of pain! Cats are masters at hiding pain, so those shreiks are warranted!

Onion also has an unbelievable amount of gas. And irritated, inflamed bowls. It’s quite likely he’s been holding back because it simply hurts so much. This is heartbreaking.

We have started some prednisone and different medications to help our poor baby out. If this doesn’t help enough, then we’re off to the orthopaedic doctor.

We’re asking for help for us to set Onion up for a pain free life and getting him ready for adoption. Any donations directly for Onion, please mark “For Onion”. Thank you!!

ADOPT ME! Daisy and Bashful were happy to take part in a morning photo op! Of course, Resident Boy Harold needed some camera time as well.

Daisy is a Handsome Boy. His mother and sisters have been adopted. As a White Kitty (he has some color on his head), he does need his eyes and ears checked and cared for often if not daily. He’s not the cuddliest but once in a home of his own, his true personality may blossom!

Bashful is a stunning house panther - long and shiny and super regal. Bashful had a terrible adoption experience which ended with me climbing on clothes and junk and desperately trying to coax Bash out of the drop ceiling. When finally saw that it really was me, he practically jumped straight into my arms causing both of us to fall. He’s still so shy and will need His Person to have tremendous love and incredible patience where he can know he’s safe forever.

ADOPTED!! Cotton Ball has been adopted by her Foster Mom!! We don’t like the term “Foster Fail” and it’s negativity. Cat Distribution System Success works better for us!! As you can see from their photos, they are quite smitten!! And we couldn’t be happier!!
