Today marked the first day of our “Better with Horses” program in partnership with @thehorseprojectsb Our participants got to chose and meet their horses, set intentions, learn breath work, and practice leading a horse. Thank you to all our volunteers and participants for making this possible, and a special shout out to the amazing team of rescue horses Rocky, Sage, Ruby and Diego!

Today our participants with vision loss got to learn how to work with the horses on getting them to stay, come, move slower or faster, and maneuver around an obstacle.
But be mindful of your thoughts! These horses can pick up on your energy and what you are thinking as seen in this video.

Today our participants got to practice taking a bow with their horse and then later meditated together. Some horses (and people) had a harder time sitting still. Each participant and volunteer got to visualize and create a word to represent their vision for themselves. Some words that were shared were love, peace, confidence, harmony, joy and connection. @followers

Miss Jackie Blues first ride in 2 years since her pelvis fracture and suspensory ligament tear. She was so good, listened very well and was happy. Still a lot of training and helping with stiffness to come but we are so proud of how far she has come. Thank you @lindaplesstraining for being the first to ride her!
