I got mail!! My first additions to my AKC wall came!!

Jazzy is staying one more night at Tufts. Her tube came out during surgery so they want to get a chest x-ray before she goes home. Well she fought the sedation and was far more into trying to play than getting that x-ray so she remains there tonight as well. PJ and I are missing our girl. 🙁

Jazzy is out of surgery and she did great!! She’s staying in the ICU tonight and will hopefully be home tomorrow!!

Tomorrow is the big day! I go for my cleft palate surgery at 7AM. Mom is freaking out already. So if you guys would be so kind and send your positive thoughts it would be really appreciated! Thanks everyone!

Conversations with Jazzy
Jazzy: “I want to play fetch!”
Me: “I blame your Auntie Amanda for this.”
Jazzy: “I love her!”
Me: “Yeah, I know, me too, but she’s the one who turned my Pug into a tiny Golden Retriever.”
Jazzy: “What’s that mean?”
Me: “Remember Kildare?”
Jazzy: “Yeah, he had fuzzy legs, good to chew!”
Me: “Yeah, that’s a Golden Retriever.”
Jazzy: “Am I going to be big like him?”
Me: “No, not in physical size anyway.”
Jazzy: “How then.”
Me: *I point to my head* “In here, probably bigger.”
Jazzy: "Yeah! Bigger!”
Me: *I chuckle* “Ok, c’mon we can play fetch for 30 minutes or so, then we need to go to bed ok?”
Jazzy: “Ok!”
We play fetch and she brings back the soft squeaky ball time and again. Each time I thank her and throw it again and she goes zipping off after it.
Jazzy: “Phew! That was a lot of running!”
Me: “Yeah it was. You tired now?”
Jazzy: “No.”
Me: “You look tired.”
Jazzy: “Nope, not tired, more fetch.”
Me: “Ok.”
I throw the ball three more times and the third time she falls asleep after getting to the ball and flops over. I run over to her and scoop her up.
Me: “Hey, you ok?”
Jazzy: *yawns* “Hmm? Oh yeah, I’m good, more fetch.”
Me: “I think it’s time for bed.”
Jazzy: *yawns* “I’m not tired.”
Me: “I can tell. It’s late, we have work in the morning, and you need sleep little girl.”
I kiss her head and put her in her crate.
Jazzy: “But I’m not *yawns* tired!”
Me: Five…”
Jazzy: “We should play more fetch!”
Me: Two…one…and..”
I look over to see her fast asleep with her head on her Bedtime Bunny.
Me: “Good night Jazzy Jazz. Sweet Dreams.”
I give her a kiss on the head and she peels open one eye.
Jazzy: “More fetch tomorrow?”
Me: “Yes, dear…”

Did you know Pugtatos can fly?? 🥔✈️ Wendy was kind enough with an injured foot no less to fly me out to Hartford! I'll see my new Mom in less than 5 hours!!!
