We have one, possibly two, training/sales stalls available with Blue Spruce Equine Services!

Small breeding program? We specialize in the handling of young horses all the way up to hunter/jumper/equitation competition mounts! With our flexible and affordable packages, we pride ourselves on helping local breeders market and produce top level sport horses and amateur mounts alike.

Training board is also available for young or competition horses. Boarding and coaching available as well! Individual programs are set to support the needs of you and your horse.

Based out of Sunray Stables, just west of the tri-cities and conveniently located just off of the 401, we travel to all of the major shows!

It definitely feels like spring around the stables! We have had lots of help cleaning up the yards and fertilizing the fields - painting poles and jumps and even squeezed in a great Hunter/Jumper clinic with Deb McCourt from Courthill Farm this weekend!! Looking forward to a great spring and summer season!

We recently had freelance photographer Savvy ( https://www.facebook.com/saurav.ravindran?mibextid=ZbWKwL) come out to the farm to expand his love of animal photography and practice capturing precious moments with our horses.

Needless to say, he has impressed us with his eye for detail and getting the moment.. "just right"! He has the perfect balance of patience and an enthusiasm that was contagious.

We highly recommend his work.. if you ever are looking to capture the moments with your furry friends.. we suggest you give him a try!

Thank you Dr. Emily and Talbot Road Veterinary Services for a very informative talk on lameness! It was a great turnout with lots of great assessment techniques and knowledge gained. Looking forward to partnering again for further education opportunities! Thanks to all who participated 💛

Sunray Stables will be hosting an Equine First Aid Course on Sunday, November 19, 9am-4pm with a few spots left!

The course will have lots of hands-on and power points. Everyone that takes the course will get a book to keep, a barn cheat card with vitals on it normal vs. abnormal and a certificate with your name on it upon completion.

The course is $159 per person. A $50 deposit will hold your spot.

Denise Pisarski will be the instructor for the day and has been certified with Equi-Health Canada for 12 years. If you would like to register for the course, please contact Pauline Helen ASAP!

Today we hosted our first Annual Sunray Stables Invitational Horse Show 🧡 Was a schooling show open to Western and English riders.. and a little bit of something for everyone. Lots of smiles and lots of successes and challenges all around!

Big thanks to the organizers, volunteers, riders and parents! It makes what we do.. so worthwhile 🌞🧡🐎

Happy 2nd Anniversary Sunray!!

This was one of the first pictures we took at Sunray - the content look of the horses staring off into what we hoped was a bright future.

One of my first posts to our boarders was this..

We chose the name Sunray Stables - in a celebration of the amazing sunsets that we have seen over the property. We think that it represents a brightness and positivity that we hope to keep as an attitude in the barn"

We also developed a mission statement

"To Foster a positive community, honouring of horse and rider, as we work together to provide a leading equestrian facility we call home "

Through our amazing staff - under the leadership of manager Heather Batson, who collectively care greatly about our horses, the barn and the property.

We continue to have a diverse group of boarders who enjoy hanging out, riding together and helping eachother - a true barn family feel!

We have supported Aislyn Bruce launch her own business with ABC Equestrian! And continued to support other women entrepreneurs with Ardito-Streef with Blue Spruce Equine Services training horses and teaching English lessons, Heather Cowell from Gardiner Equestrian Farrier Services , and Dr. Emily from Talbot Road as our vet.

We have worked hard to clean up around the property, updating paddocks and fields, indoor and outdoor wash stalls, and made as many improvements as possible in the short amount of time we have had (with more to come!)

It hasn't always been easy.. but we hope it's been worth it! 💛

We still believe the future looks bright 😎

Had a wonderful surprise tonight at Sunray Stables .. our boarders got together last year to commemorate one year of being open (est. October 2021) and bought us a sign that was hand carved and unveiled tonight! We had a dinner and even though it rained.. the sun came out and blessed us with a rainbow.

Taking over this business hasn't been easy.. but it's nights like tonight when you feel like it was worth it.

At Sunray.. we strive to make this the best experience possible for our horses, their riders and our staff. We aren't perfect.. it has taken time and education, a lot of hard work and dedication to build trust - but our mission continues, that people would find peace and healing in their journey with their horses. And my hope , as the old saying goes - the best is yet to come.

Sunray Stables is excited to share a management update!

With the explosive growth Maria Ardito-Streef has seen with her own free-lance coaching and training business with Blue Spruce Equine Services - she will be moving on from management of Sunray Stables but staying on as in-house coach and trainer! We wish her all the best - and are grateful for her knowledge and expertise she has given and will continue to give us at the stables!

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Heather Batson as she joins the management team! Heather is no stranger to the barn as she has been a staff member since 2021. She has a passion for agriculture and animal nutrition - and is a graduate of Ridgetown College. She has a keen eye for horse care and an excellent attention to detail. She is excited to continue on with this new role - and brings lots of energy and ideas to a place she also calls home for her mare! Congratulations Heather!

One of the best used spaces at Sunray is this beautiful arena! Whether it's used for Western lessons, Hunter jumper clinics, or our own Sunray Showcase Day - we are appreciative of the bright natural light and well-conditioned footing. Till the grounds dry up and we can get back to the outdoor ring, track and trails - we are grateful for this space!

We feel so privileged to have Maria Ardito as our on-site English coach available to our boarders (and as a free lance coach to others!) Show season ready!

Maria has been an EC certified coach for over 10 years.
With the updated coaching mandates, her certification has a new name! As a Licensed Coach, she is available for bronze, silver, gold and platinum level shows.

These new EC coaching mandates support proper insurance, SafeSport, concussion & first aid training, coaching psychology, and NCCP guidelines, just to name a few!

We are looking for casual/part-time morning staff. 2-3 mornings a week (week days) with potential for more. Semi-flexible hours. Feeding, turnout, mucking, basic morning chores. Large barn so will be working with our full time staff, not alone. Nice horses, nice boarders 😊 Eligible applicants must have reliable transportation. Horse experience is an asset but willing to train the right person. Farm is just off the 401 on the west end of Woodstock - close to London, Kitchener, Cambridge, Brantford etc....
