59% Funded with 2 Days to Go – What Comes Next?
As we approach the final stretch of this Kickstarter campaign, the reality is setting in: we may not reach our goal. With approximately $4,700 raised, we're incredibly grateful for every single backer who believed in this project. But even with all the heart and hard work poured into this, the lessons we've learned are undeniable:
-Kickstarter offers no guarantee of success, even for mission-driven campaigns. Their support for creators is inconsistent, and sometimes absent altogether.
-Effort doesn't always equal positive results. The labor-to-reward ratio can be unpredictable, even with a dedicated audience and clear goals.
-The feline welfare community is generous, but many struggle to reconcile supporting business growth with supporting advocacy.
So, what now?
The plan moving forward is to purchase and finance the machine in the first half of 2025. While this will be a heavier financial burden, it's necessary for the survival of Purrsonified. A crowdfunding section will be added to our new website by the end of January for those who want to continue supporting the "campaign".
To adapt, Purrsonified will undergo a temporary one-year model change in 2025 to ensure we can manage these costs while continuing to serve our mission of raising FIP awareness and supporting feline welfare. Details on this change will be shared soon.
In the meantime, we urge everyone to sign up for our email list (or update your preferences) to stay informed about what’s next. Regardless of outcome, Purrsonified isn’t giving up on the mission.
