Part of my job is snapping “proof of life” photos for the owners 🤣 Obviously you want to know what your dog is up to while they’re out on their adventures!

Sometimes they’re not the best, especially on a day with back to back visits. Today I had the peacefulness of a slower day, allowing me to combine two things I love most- Dogs and Photography!

I had the chance to sit down and edit them. I might be bias when I say I have some of the most photogenic clients around 😝🫶

Another new sibling duo! Reigns + River are total opposites 🤣 While Reigns chose to lay in the sun and enjoy his peaceful afternoon, his little brother was busy running circles and jumping in and out of the pool.

Big shout out to Jaclyn's Pet Care for sharing her wonderful clients with me 🥰 it’s always a blessing when someone trusts me with their pups. It’s another reminder to be kind to people in your industry, they’re my team mates not my competition 💜💜

I made two new friends today!
Zephyrus + Boreas are a riot to hang out with. Between rolling in the dirt, finding and chewing up sticks, and sticking their butts in my face to scratch, I’d say we had a pretty good first date 😉 I hope I made a good impression on them.
I may say this about all the dog breeds (I mean come on they’re all awesome!!) but I LOVE Weimaraners. When I worked in daycares they were some of my favorite dogs to have in my group. They give me endless goofy faces to laugh at 🤣

One of my most favorite part of my job is watching puppies grow up. Marcus may be big now but he’s still got that baby brain!

A lot of people think that the hardest part of raising a puppy is the first couple months. In my opinion, that’s the EASIEST. I mean, they follow you around, nap all day, pick up new tricks in a snap 🫰🏻, and that puppy breath is to die for!! Adolescence is no joke 😮‍💨 Your once seemingly perfect puppy is now testing boundaries and giving in to their impulses. They may even regress in their training. Parents of human teenagers; sound familiar? 😉

Marcus is in the height of his adolescence. He’s smart and goofy, and thanks to his wonderful parents he’s had a great start with puppy class. Our walks together are especially helpful for getting him out of the house and letting out his wiggles so that he can go home and nap 💤 😴 and his Mom and Dad can work stress free knowing their puppy has his needs met!

Everyone welcome my new friend Henry! This guy is a major meat head. His favorite things are: walking at leisurely pace, sniffing every blade of grass, playing the “find the cheese smooshed on to the tree” game (name is self explanatory), and rolling around in the grass. Those are like, basically all my favorite things too! 😍

It’s bite prevention week so let’s talk about muzzles.

As someone who works with dogs, and loved a dog, with a bite history…dogs who bite are not bad dogs.

Muzzled dogs are GOOD dogs! They have good humans who are doing their best to keep them safe. Bite histories are not the only reason dogs may be muzzled as well.

Muzzles SHOULD:
- be properly conditioned to the dog before wearing it.
- allow the dog to eat, and drink, and pant.
- predict good things for the dog, like yummy treats, a walk, or something else they enjoy.

Muzzles SHOULD NOT:
- be a punishment.
- close the dogs mouth or restrict breathing/eating/drinking in any way
- only be put on in scary situations (i.e. the vet!)

Notice the fitting of this muzzle on Prince ; it may look a bit big when his mouth is closed, but it’s actually the perfect size. It allowed him to pant fully, drink, and take treats.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, let’s give a big round of applause for our newest four-legged friend - Mocha! (Although, she’s more like a blonde bombshell, don’t you think?)

This little pup is an absolute riot! Thanks to her awesome mom, she’s a pro on the leash and she’s always ready to pawty. Mocha’s favorite activities include rolling in the snow, catching treats (or not catching them and rolling on them instead), digging, people-watching out the window, and getting treats for being a good girl around other dogs. Honestly, the things she doesn’t like are probably shorter than the things she does enjoy!

Let’s all welcome Mocha with open arms and lots of belly rubs. We’re so excited to have her as part of our furry family! 🐾🎉
