Congratulations to Koe, the German Shepherd, for graduating his 10 day board and train.

Koe is a highly motivated 11 week old German Shepherd puppy who is on the path to success!

Koe’s dad brought him home and immediately began working with him. Being that he is an active duty service member and going to school, he wanted to make sure he stayed on track, therefore enrolled Koe into Ridgeside K9 All inclusive puppy and adult program.

During training, we were able to build a basic foundation of obedience and work on early socialization. These two put in a lot of time and work together and I can’t wait to see how far they go in the next few months. Im looking forward to part 2 of his training!

Congratulations to Chip, the Chocolate Lab, for graduating her 2 week board and train.

Chip is a highly excitable 5 month old lab who was signed up for our 2 week Adult Training program to learn a basic foundation of obedience, leash walking. communication, and to help keep her focused when she is around things that overstimulate her.

During our time together, we focused on teaching her a better form of communication between wanted and unwanted behaviors. By showing her that remaining calm and neutral was actually more rewarding than acting impulsively, we were able to steer her focus away from distractions.

Being that Eve is a highly intelligent and active puppy, she was quickly developing bad habits and pushing boundaries by nipping and jumping on people.

During her stay, we worked on socialization, boundaries, and basic obedience. By doing this, she was being rewarded for making right choices and set her up with the proper tools and communication to draw a clear line between what is right and wrong.

I’m excited to see to see her back for adult training!

Congratulations to Rocky, the beagle , for graduating his 2 week Puppy University board and train.

Rocky came to Ridgeside to start a strong foundation of basic obedience.

During his training, we introduced proper tools and communication to set up clear pictures of what is good and what are unwanted behaviors.

This is extremely important, especially for a young puppy. This allowed us to start applying rules, boundaries, and basic obedience so that we can set him up on the right path with better habits along with a greater understanding of what is right from wrong.

A dog with a strong foundation and communication with their owner is more likely ask for help or direction and leads to healthier relationships with your dog.

Congratulations to Henry, the Cairn Terrier , for graduating his 3 week board and train training.

Henry came to Ridgeside to work on reliable obedience, impulse control, boundaries and to learn a better form of communication. He is a very intelligent pup who has learned that he can get what he wants by barking.

During his training, we focused on neutrality, boundaries and better manners through rewarding positive manners and correcting unwanted behaviors . Being that he absolutely loves to be the center of attention, we needed to have him understand that there are boundaries, expectations and to stay focused.
