We have a few spaces available here at Porterswood D.I.Y Livery

Situated in a converted farm building situated on a family run farm.

We offer livery to everyone from children with their first ponies to competition riders to happy hackers.

Large stables inside with fan air circulation for those stuffy summer days,
Stay warm and dry in the winter and cool in the summer.

Automatic drinkers in every stable
Access to hot and cold taps and hosepipe.

Muck heap just outside the barn. No forking up of manure or creeping up a slippery plank trying not to slip. Just empty your wheelbarrow and leave it for the tractor to move.

All year turnout (if
the weather isn’t too wet!!)
Individual allotted turnout but you can section it up, or set up a track, or you can share if you find someone who is willing to buddy up.

Main and individual lights, all set on a timer, so no tiptoeing round in the dark when you are the last one at the yard.

Area for tea, coffee and cold drinks, quite often has biscuits too.
Clean toilet that always has loo roll!

Wash box with warm shower available free of charge!

Your own large storage area near your stable.

Lots of parking for cars and space for a box or trailer if needed.

Unrestricted opening times with secure alarmed drive with CCTV.

45m x 35m sand and rubber school, which will have lights.

Off road grass hacking on the farms 60acers. 1km around the grazing paddocks as well as access to roughly 50 acres of grass land to ride on.

Access to miles of hacking. Short stretch of road work then there are numerous bridleways and hacking routes. A mix of woods, farmland, open grassy fields and quiet country lanes. The yard is surrounded by bridleways including some that are surfaced and mud free even at this time of year!

DIY livery with a permanent on-site freelance groom (happy horse equine services) who provides services at a very reasonable rate. She offers everything from a one off on a busy day, to bespoke full livery packages. Rates can be seen on the website porterswoodlivery.com

Full time yard manager always on hand to deal with any queries or issues as they arise.

Unrestricted grazing on old unfertilised grass, suitable for all horses including laminitics. Individual allotted paddocks but you can section it up, or set up a track. or you can share if your horse prefers company.
Main and individual lights, all set on a timer, so no tiptoeing round in the dark when you are the last one up and need to shut the lights off before you go!
Kitchen with tea, coffee and cold drinks, quite often has home made cakes and biscuits too. Clean toilet that always has loo roll!
Hot horse shower available for use free of charge and a wash box/solarium is in being installed shortly.
