No idea why I am sent to do homings...

I was homing a pup yesterday and the foster mom had given me a teddy that when you press the chest replicated a beating heart. This was done in an attempt to keep puppy reassured that she was not alone as she had separation anxiety.

I told the adopter that puppy should sleep with the teddy and she lovingly responded that it was not needed as puppy would sleep on the bed with her. At this point I should have been so touched and I should have just walked away but instead I looked the rest of the family and said, "If the pup starts to cry in the middle of the night that means your mom has died as her heart has stopped beating."

Yeah, I would seriously consider a re-think when sending me off to represent the organization is any social setting.
