They are scheduled for their neuter surgeries later this month and will be all ready for their forever home(s) shortly after that. ✨AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION✨ Indigo and Marshmallow (fka Celeste) are in need of a new home together. Unfortunately the child in their home has developed severe allergies to them and after trying several temporary fixes, the child’s health is getting worse and the family sadly need to say goodbye to their beloved cats. Per their current mom: “Indigo is the sweetest cat on this planet. She’s playful and cuddly and curious always into something. Marshmallow is the dinner alarm. If that food bowl has any space in it she will let you know. Loudly 😂. She likes to sleep on her back.” They just recently turned 3 years old and are great with kids and other cats, and had prior dog socialization when I fostered them as kittens. Today is a very special $5 Friday for Miss Mabel. She was abandoned at the shelter a couple of months ago and was diagnosed with hydrocephalus. Right now she is being managed with daily medication, but her adoptive family is raising funds to have a shunt surgery done, to drain the excess fluid from her brain and hopefully allow her to live a long and healthy life. Everyone who has met Mabel has fallen absolutely in love with her. She is sweet, affectionate, loves to be held like a baby, is curious and explores everything and enjoys snuggling with other cats. She is the true definition of an angel and it would mean so much to me to know that this community of generous cat lovers that we’ve grown over the past several years could take part in making a difference for Mabel and her family. ✨$5 Friday for Ferals✨ my cat trap arrived earlier this week (thank you so much to the generous donor that sent it!) so we are officially beginning Operation: Fix all the cats in my neighborhood! It costs $35 per cat to have them TNR’d so for every 7 people that donate $5 that’s one cat unable to reproduce and continue the vicious cycle. This is Prada. She’s been at the Greenville Humane Society since April, patiently waiting for the right family to come scoop her up. Prada is a Queen, with enough tortitude to rule an entire kingdom, and she is looking for a family that will treat her like royalty. She hates living in the shelter and a kennel environment just isn’t a suitable living arrangement for her bougie self. She wants luxury and high quality beds to lounge in, water fountains and top shelf wet food, plenty of windows to sunbathe and birdwatch from and of course so much love and appreciation from all her loyal subjects. Prada gets along well with other animals that give her space and coexist rather than try to engage in play or cuddle time, and she would do best in a home without any small children. She is available for adoption, but is also eligible to foster first to ensure your home is the right fit for her. The humane society is open today 11am-5pm, and Sunday 12pm-5pm, and has so many great cats in addition to Prada hoping to find their forever homes this weekend 🐱💗

🩶Donations needed for stray kitty!🩶 I came home from work last night to find this guy chilling in my driveway. I know the pictures aren’t the best; he wouldn’t let me get close to him so they are super zoomed in. He has a massive bald patch on his back and is extremely thin. He just looks sick. He’s also not the only cat I’ve seen around my house lately, and some of the ones I’ve seen have been young kittens. I know there is a neighbor of mine that feeds cats and several of the cats in my neighborhood are already ear-tipped, but clearly some are slipping through the cracks or people know what I do and where I live and are dumping their kittens 🙃

Intake is still closed and I am still considering myself on my rescue break - but I can’t just watch these sickly cats run around my yard and not do anything about it. I don’t have a trap of my own, and the cost of one on Amazon right now is $70. I can finally make the announcement I’ve been waiting to do for months now. NETTLE AND LICHEN ARE ADOPTED 🎉 they went to a wonderful home this past Saturday and will have several human siblings to keep them company and entertained. I’m so excited for these boys and their new family, and of course will share any updates as I receive them 🧡🩶 thank you all so much for sharing these boys over the past few months - you were all a part of getting them adopted!

🧡🩶ADOPT NETTLE & LICHEN🩶🧡
August is going to be their month, I can feel it. These boys have been with the rescue for almost 150 days, and adoption ready for over two months. They have had little interest and I honestly have no idea why. They are not a bonded pair, but if adopting only one they would need to go to a home that has another friendly cat for them to grow up with. They are both very sweet boys, love to play, wrestle and explore. Lichen is a chatterbox and loves his snacks, Nettle can be shy around new people at first but really comes out of his shell around other cat friends. They love toys of any kind, enjoy playing king of the hill at the top of their cat tree, and after a day of play will snuggle up with their people.

It’s the last day of July and our sweet boys Nettle and Lichen are still without a forever home. They’ve had almost no interest this last month, and anyone who’s messaged me about them has either ghosted halfway through our conversation or wanted a kitten for the wrong reasons. These boys NEED a home. They are the last two kittens I have waiting to be placed before I can officially start my hiatus of rescue, something I thought would have begun back in June.
