Our Story
We are a small Cattery with 3 to 4 Queens and one King. Our goal is to breed beautiful, high quality and well loved kittens instead of trying to see how many kittens we can have.
At New Mercies Maine C**ns, none of our cats or kittens are ever caged. All of our cats and kittens are raised under foot with our family. We have 5 kids, an English Bulldog and a Black Lab, so all of our cats and kittens are well rounded and socialized. But we also have a well designed Cattery to keep each cat and kitten safe when they are not playing or relaxing with the family.
Although we are new to Maine C**ns, we are not new to the cat world. Several years ago I bred beautiful Persians. But then my husband joined the Army and with all of the moving, I made the decision to stop breeding and find new, loving homes for all of my cats except for my old, retired Queen who was my baby. Then my husband and I started having children, and with pregnancies and small children I was still not able to jump back into the cat world.
Now our children are a little older and our family is happily settled in Michigan. It has been my dream for years to get back into the cat world, and even start competing in cat shows. So my 2019 Mother’s Day present was my first beautiful King and Queen. My husband and I have been captivated by Maine C**ns and their sweet, fun personalities.
