These 4 girls are some of our best layers. The Turken (bare neck) chicken is Dobbie.
The Black Americana is Ralph. The Barred Rock (gray and white) is Chubbs. The White Americana is Luna.
Dobbie is the namesake of the farm as Marah affectionately calls her Dobbert.

This curious girl is Zoe. She really likes to talk to you. She’ll follow you around the back yard just clucking away at you. Zoe is a Black Americana chicken.

This pretty girl was having a nice little nap in one of our nesting boxes! We were wondering the past few days why we weren’t getting as many eggs as usual! Not to worry though, no harm came to her. We relocated her a few miles down the road next to a lake. I can’t abide killing snakes!

Its time to introduce our girls! These 5 hens are our best layers. From left to right; Luna, Chubbs, Dobby, Winkie, and Cho Chi. They are having a group dust bath. This photo doesn’t really show them well...hmmm, tell ya what, we’ll take some close-ups of all our girls so you can get to know them! Coming soon!

Our ducks like to eat out of Marah’s hand now. The Black Americana chicken is Zoe. Shes jealous of the ducks!

Hi to all! Sorry its been a couple weeks since we posted. Things have been rather busy.
This is one of our hens, her name is Zoe. She likes to talk to you and hang around you to see what you’re doing. She’ll also come when you call her! She isn’t laying yet but probably will soon.

The duck in the crate is a rescue. She belonged to a friend who could no longer keep her. Her name is Ivy. Welcome to Dobbert’s Farm Ivy!

Our farm cat, Mia, loves hanging out with our chickens. The chickens don’t seem to mind her presence. The ducks however aren’t so sure.

This is Dobby. Named after a Harry Potter character. She's very independent but she gets picked on sometimes 'cause she's smaller than the other chickens.
