After a quick overnight at Wendy’s house last night, Hei Hei (tabby male) and Pua (black and white girl) are making friends with Cordelia (fluffy gray and white girl) at PetVet365 Denver/Somerset (Aurora, near Safeway Buckley and Mississippi) Please go visit them if you are looking to add a feline member or 2 to your family.

All are 4 months old, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots including rabies. $175 for one or $300 for a pair.

Happy international Cat day from of my bestest boys. Nacho was the second street cat that we adopted. He showed up in our garage one day and just never left. Someone loved him but not enough. he loves my six-year-old and would run to him anytime he was crying. The joke was that he is not yo Kitty, and that is how he became Nacho! He's definitely mine. He loves to go on adventures on his leash, there's never a dull moment with him around.

Orville update! (We have lots of updates actually)

Orville's abscess came back between his eyes this time. You can see it on the second photo. He's 500g and feisty as ever! Another round of antibiotics for him and hopefully the last ones.

We're about to start trapping at two locations that have quite a few cats. Wish us luck! The goal is 40 cats for this weekend.

We have had 6 adoptions recently, yay! 4 more kittens are going to .somerset and in Englewood!

Still trapping, I found a few new projects to work on during the search for Gizmo, who was lost during transport in Commerce city. We have 3 feeding stations up and may put out a 4th this week.

Kittens in foster are getting big, sick kittens are still hanging around. Updates on them soon.

This week one of our fosters saw kittens outside her apartment! We got her traps and she did an amazing job catching them! Both are safely inside now waiting to get fixed soon. Thank you for helping them, .e.crow is doing a wonderful job socializing them!

When the adorable second kitten was caught it was immediately put on the medical list because she's missing part of her tail and part of her foot! We're going to get her into the vet which will hopefully only be about $100 to get her seen/ get antibiotics for her. She may need surgery to clean up her tail but we will see what the vet says.

If anyone can help sponsor this girls vet visit it would be greatly appreciated!

In addition to community cats being healthy community members, is the primary way they receive rabies and FVRCP vaccinations and treatment for any other medical issues.

Spaying and neutering also improve the cats’ well-being by removing the stresses of mating and pregnancy and preventing certain reproductive cancers.

These are some of the target cats for our next TNR clinic on August 10. We have an estimate of 20-40 cats because they live in and travel through the trailer park. We will probably be trapping the 8-9th to make sure we catch as many cats as possible. We may be able to do a second day later in the month if we can raise enough money to cover all the costs. Last month we had a goal of 1000 but raised $365. We have had lots of fundraisers the last few months because rescue is expensive! Medical expenses and emergencies take precedence but TNR is our main focus and to do that we need all the help we can get! If every one of our followers donated a dollar we would have our clinics funded!

Our ac is on its last leg and with this heat I'm not sure it will make it much longer, it's made it about 5 years at this point. A new version of our ac is 470 on Amazon, I'd love to order it during Amazon days because maybe it will be discounted! 

We also had a snafu with our fridge this week and two new cases of vaccines got ruined when it was unplugged. Each one is 105 plus shipping! If you can find it in your hearts to help us replace them it would be greatly appreciated! Please share and donate if you can, anything is appreciated!

One day out of intake hold and I feel like I need another 🤣. Our newest intakes are not looking so hot. They have horrible uri and conjunctivitis. Everyone is on antibiotics and supportive care but they are really sick. I am seeing enucleations in the future of at least one of them. The gray one is just covered in snot. Both the white ones have eye problems, one is really bad and both eyes and the other is just one eye. They're slightly spicy so doing all this treatment has been a little difficult. They are in need of names!

Yesterday we featured our kittens, today it is all about the more experienced adult cats we have ready for adoption.

Why adopt an adult cat? We can often see their true personalities (although they continue to bloom in their forever home.) Some are still rambunctious while others are settling into their calmer life. Many of our kitties are 2-3 years old, although some may be older, some younger. Many have been in foster for some time, so they generally enjoy the company of other cats and are used to dogs. If you don't see what you are looking for, we may have more, so please ask.

By adopting a cat, you not only give your new friend a whole new life, but you also allow us to save the next cat (or batch of kittens.)

We got kittens ready for adoption! All about 3 months old. All very playful and very sweet.

Last weekend I was contacted by a friend who found a kitten in an empty dog run, he had a head injury 🤕 and multiple wounds. She rushed him to the vet who said yep he has a head injury. The vet didn't give him pain medicine or antibiotics or an X-ray. The next day we were able to get in with another rescue for an X-ray. He didn't look to have a fracture but definitely had an infection. We started him on medication. The tiniest doses ever 🤣 His head kept swelling and then it started draining from his nose. The next few days were pretty touch and go, he was very lethargic but kept yawning and stretching. I continued tube feeding and he ate a little on his own a few times. I really thought he wasn't going to make it. This morning I woke up at our regular 4 hour intervals and he was sitting up! He looked at me when I talked to him, his eyes were open and even though he looks a little drowsy still, he was trying to get up and walk around! I'm hoping that he keeps getting better.

These two got fixed and vaccinated this week. I called them Juniper and Ash. Their mom showed up in a barn and decided to make herself at home. The kittens were a surprise but the caretaker was determined to fix them and keep them. The little family is reunited!

Thank you to everyone who donated, that covered these little ones and 2 more ! We have a July fundraiser, if we can get enough raised we can set up a day clinic.

Everywhere is charging now, everywhere is booked until August! Not sure how individuals are making TNR happen but it definitely takes a village.

Lilly had her adoption fall through, so she is looking for a home. She seems to enjoy the company of feline friends, might get along better with males than female cats, but has lived with both--it might be a individual cat preference vs male/female. She does okay with dogs, as long as they know how to treat a kitty right.

This is Olive (3 year old female tabby) and Pickles (10 month old female tortie).

Olive is the nicest, most chill cat you may ever meet. Right now she’s the emotional support cat for her friend, Pickles.

Pickles was outgoing in her former foster home, but when she recently switched foster homes she became overwhelmed and wanted to hide. She’s very sweet lacking much of the diva attitude that torties are known for.

They are a cute duo, or can be adopted separately— as long as Pickles adopter understands that she may need time to warm up, a smaller space with hidey beds to adjust in, etc.

Anyone have a void in their life for a void in their life? Meet 3 month old Rainy!

Why are black cats called voids? Maybe it’s the way they blend into their surroundings, maybe it’s something more mystical. In any event, black dogs and cats have a harder time being adopted, but this little house panther in training is purr-fect!

Being a kitten, Rainy would do best in a home with another playful cat or her momma, Stormy, is also up for adoption.

She has met dogs in foster care and can be a little hissy at first. She will probably warm up with slow introductions as long as doggy is patient and respectful.

Stormy is a 3 year old mama who just raised her last litter and is ready for the finer things in life— lots of playing, pets and food!

She would likely be good with other cats, but she’s mostly been around kittens (her own and others) in foster care. Her baby, Rainy, is also looking for a home if you have room in your heart for two!

She’s picky about doggy friends, rubbing up against one, but swiping at another.
