Lovely to see Shiloh this evening, it’s great to see him able to stand by himself following spinal surgery. We are now working on new exercises to strengthen his back legs. We'll done Shiloh, keep working hard!

The hardest part of working with animals is when we have to say goodbye, this one hurt more than most.

Kyla was a very special dog. She was one of my very first 'practice' dogs when I was training and a very complex case. She always happily let me treat her as long as she was getting her payment in the form of treats. She was brave and stoic until the very end.

I will most definitely miss our weekly sessions, run free, sweet Kyla 🌈 xx

Stance analysis measures how much weight a dog puts through each leg when standing.

Today, I measured a dog before and after his physiotherapy session. I was thrilled with the results. What a difference! All of his legs were closer to the ideal number 😁😁

Brilliant first session for Rock today, he settled nicely for laser and massage and was very keen and quick to learn his new exercises.
He has mild bilateral hip dysplasia, and being a youngster, we are aiming to get him as strong as possible so he can enjoy a long 'normal' life!
Well done Rock! 🙌

Tiffany and Bruce have been a little more stiff recently.
Both have been back to the vet to discuss pain relief since our last sessions. I was so pleased to see them both walking more comfortably today and definitely fewer areas of compensation on both of them.

We always get the best results when the vets, physios, and hydros work together in a multi modal approach! Once we have pain under control, we can gently start to improve their strength to support the arthritic joints.

It was Belle's second session this evening. Her owners have worked so hard following her treatment plan daily, and the difference is amazing.

She loved demonstrating how well she could do each exercise and has been sent home with an amended plan to challenge her further!

Well done, Belle, keep up the hard work!

First session today for George. He suffers with bilateral luxating patella and also had some compensatory muscle spasms in the thoracic and lumbar areas of his back, we are aiming to increase his hindlimb musculature to help support his patellas and improve his core strength.

He did very well learning his targeted exercises and discovered how good my cheese is!!! 🧀

First session for Dolly yesterday, she suffers with arthritis in multiple joints. She was treated with pemf, laser, and massage to help ease her aches and pains. We are also starting some very gentle exercises to help strengthen her core and hindlimbs.
She was a superstar, took it all in her stride, and was definitely feeling good afterwards, having a roll around outside!

Well done to Kyla, a week since her last session and stance analysis shows a 5% transfer in weight from her front legs to back legs. It's all moving in the right direction. Keep up the hard work.❤️

Lovely to see Aria for her first physio session yesterday evening! She has bilateral hip dysplasia, we are working to increase her strength and range of movement in her hind limbs.
She was an absolute superstar, I'm looking forward to seeing how she progresses over the coming sessions!

Yesterday, little Bertie came along for his 2nd session post cruciate repair. He is recovering so well, but we are keeping the exercises gentle until after his X-rays next week!

It was lovely to see Bracken today. It's been a bit longer than normal as they've been busy moving house, but Mum has done a great job maintaining between sessions (it helps she's learning massage).

I love how Bracken matches the decor as well 🤣

Kyla had her cast removed this week. She was left with a few sores, which we are treating with both red and blue light Phototherapy.

Today, I also gave her a laser and massage session to address her compensatory aches and pains, it made me quite emotional to see her really relax and hear her content snores whilst I massaged her. This girl has been through so much recently.

Many thanks to for clipping her leg so we can treat her sores.

Enjoy relaxing now, Kyla, as the hard rehab starts next week!

🐾THOR🐾

Thor was referred to me in January when he was just 6 months old. He had surgery to repair a fracture of the medial condylar of his right humerus. He was also suffering from a surgical complication, causing ulnar neuropathy. The vets were unsure if he would ever regain use of his leg and had advised his owners that amputation may be the only option long term.

He presented to me completely non weight bearing on his right fore limb and very distressed if his paw was touched.

I treated him with laser, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, and phototherapy. With the use of a licki mat as a distraction, I was able to encourage correct paw placement and some gentle weight shifting exercises.

His owners worked so hard on a daily basis at home to carry out all my recommended exercises.

We started to see small signs of improvement within a week. He was slowly gaining confidence and realising that using his leg wouldn't be painful.

Once his surgical stitches were removed, we began a course of weekly hydrotherapy to help increase his elbow range of movement and build muscle.

Little Thor has gone from strength to strength and had now been signed off by the vets and moved onto a maintenance plan of hydrotherapy and exercise management. I'm so delighted to see him displaying lots of cheeky puppy behaviours again and enjoying life!

Stitch has made great progress over the last two weeks. Stance analysis showed he's fully weight bearing on his right hind now. We have adjusted his plan to start to slowly increase his daily walks and rehab exercises and will reassess again in three weeks!

Well done, Stitch (and mum), for working so hard over the last two weeks. It really makes a difference!

I had the pleasure of meeting little Rowan today. She is an 8 month old rescue pup who was born with an elbow deformation. From her XRay, I was expecting her to be completely non weight bearing, so was very pleasantly surprised when a little bundle of energy flew into the treatment room.

She did very well to settle for some massage and laser and had a go at some strengthening exercises.

Whilst we are waiting for the orthopaedic surgeon to review her, we are working on making her other legs as strong as possible to avoid compensatory issues.
