Happy Friday everyone !!

We have a couple more rabbits with bags packed and walking papers.

These are New Zealand's 2 black Does both are 8 mo old have been on the show table free of DQ's

We have decided to make some changes in the blue program we are keeping another buck back to use with our does so Legacy is seeking employment elsewhere. We showed this buck he did quite well. He is a proven breeder we have several litters out of him. His babies grow out nicely

We have power back to the barn and shop today !! Yay! So excited to have everything back on again. I did absolutely nothing except feed today I am just exhausted. There are 100 other things I need to do but I will have to get to them later. I did take some pics of the birds today that were running around my Wyandottes and my beautiful blue copper maran rooster and a Asil / Cemani cross rooster that has really turned in to a cool rooster and a powerful one at that !

This has been an exhausting and stressful past 24 plus hours. But we finally have power back. The power in our house started doing some very weird things yesterday every time I tried to turn the dryer on it would turn the lights out and lots of other wonky stuff we finally lost power all together late yesterday evening. Thank goodness it was not super cold I can do without lights but heat was a concern. We ended up replacing the whole main line to the house we think that the lines to the shop that had come loose in the box shorted the main line out and burnt the wires in the ground. Steven of course had to go back to work this morning could not be helped bc you know everything happens while he is gone or about to leave but my father in law and Steven's grandpa game to the rescue and the 3 of us worked all day getting the new lines put in and I am happy to say I have power and heat tonight. Our barn and shop does not that is tomorrows project but our house is back up and running. The rabbits have been in the dark for the last 2 days so I have fed by flashlight tomorrow hopefully they will have lights back on in the barn. We are very thankful to our family for all their help this was a huge project

Another cold windy day here. But we had 1 delivery this morning. Tara the doe from yesterday kindled early this morning 7 beautiful babies. Brokens and solids. This is the mom to our 6/8 Blue buck and broken doe we are showing she was bred back the same way so hopefully a couple more show prospects in this litter.

Tara is very big and pregnant and due today I caught her in her box this morning with this look on her face lol i think she is over it already.

It's very cold and windy here today I was gonna try to go through some rabbits today that are about ready to hop but after chores and some things I had to get done around the farm today I am done and over it too so maybe tomorrow.

I have gotten several does bred the last two days. All the Tri mini Rex does are bred back , I have 4 mini Rex does Bred to Airhead our new black buck so pretty excited to see these babies. 4 NZ does bred as well 2 does that have not wanted to lift for a couple months now finally got them to breed and 2 does bred back that have already had litters. And we got a couple of John's Rexes bred as well so looks like January will be hoping again for new babies.

Well it's a wrap for MO State Convention. We had a blast this weekend. We got to see and visit with all our rabbit peeps...

Well it's a wrap for MO State Convention. We had a blast this weekend. We got to see and visit with all our rabbit peeps. 1 show a day however the New Zealand show was huge over 200 entries in Open and 100 plus in youth. Lots of competition and breeders from all over. We were pleased with how are rabbits did no big wins for us but we feel like we held our own

Classes were pretty good size so a couple highlights

FFTR5
6/8 Blue buck
3rd and 4th in classes of 12
We really like this buck and we got a lot of good comments on him he will be staying around for a while

FFTR6
Broken 6/8 Doe
4th in two shows out of 12 as well. A sister to the above buck

Jade
6/8 Black Doe
This doe is really still a JR as far as age however she had to move up this week to 6/8 bc of weight and she isn't there yet to compete against the more mature does she was 5th out of 11 in one of the shows

Thomas
6/8 Broken Buck
1st,2nd and 3rd in the shows
Thomas is a really nice Buck one I have watched and loved since he was born. He is a son of Jax our broken blue herd Buck who has been producing some really nice rabbits for us. Thomas is moving on to another breeder and we hope he continues to do well for them as well. Gonna miss this guy for sure !

Congrats to all the winners this weekend Great show. This is it for us until most likely February we have a lot of kits coming up so we are excited to start sorting through them to see what we have to add to the show team this spring hopefully ! Safe travels to everyone going home

Sweepstakes are updated and thought I would share how we are doing so far. I am very happy to say we are 3rd with our blacks , and 11th in the Brokens and the Blues. We still have the rest of next year until June 30th to continue to accumulate points. We are beyond excited to be where we are right now. It's been a lot of hard work and we have a lot more work to do but couldn't be happier right now

John's sitting #7 with the Brokens he has been putting a lot more emphasis in to his Rexes I have included the Rex Sweeps too he is doing exceptionally well with them!! Not sure if he will continue to show New Zealand's or not he really likes his Rexes much better so would not surprise us if he decides to stick just with them and that's ok as long as he stays interested

Very busy week this week kids have a few things going on. Husband came in for days off last night. Got a couple more does re bred , litters weaned probably won't get to evaluate any of the older ones this week just not enough hours in the day this week but after the weekend that will be my next project

Pictured below is a doe I fostered some kits to from another doe that had 13 she has 3 blacks on her that she is raising along with her blue and broken blue kits. She did a fantastic job they are growing quite well.
