Coalette had surgery today to remove some plywood from her digestive tract (you read that correctly-plywood). She is in recovery now, everything appears to have gone well!

We Approve!

Lulu the pot-bellied pig created quite the media storm back in 1998. It was then that the world first heard about the pig that ‘played dead’ in the road to save her dying owner. The story starts just a year before in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.

To my mom.

They never gave you flowers, or fancy dresses you could wear. You never ran outside with friends, and felt the wind rush through your hair.

To them you were a number, just a tag hung from your ear. To me you were a mother, and I wish that you were here.
To see how hard I'm trying, to help them understand. That you didn't need to suffer, to feed a hungry man.

I'm sorry for what they did to you, and for how they made you pay. I hope your days are filled with sunshine, and your troubles are far away.
