DID YOU KNOW that dogs sweat through their foot pads? This is how their bodies cool them down! They also do this through panting, but most people already know this. If you ever need a quick and easy way to cool down your dog, try wetting the bottom of their paw with a wet cloth! That should do the trick on a hot Florida day (as long as you're also keeping them hydrated and giving them lots of water too!).

Hello everyone! My name is Abigail, I own Abigail's Pet Services LLC in Hanover, PA. I moved my business from Northern Baltimore County MD to Hanover just over a year ago. I have been in the industry for about 7 years and I hope to stay for several years to come. ☺️ I am a new student at York College of PA striving for a degree in Biology. When I’m not working, you can find me in Codorus State Park hiking or hammocking or camping with my pets and boyfriend. My favorite part about the job is hearing how the vacation, wedding, or trip went knowing they didn’t have to worry about their pets.

I am insured and bonded, Certified Professional Pet Sitter, Pet CPR & First Aid Certified, and York County’s first Fear Free Certified Dog Trainer. I am an alumni of Animal Behavior College and Member of Pet Sitters International.

I hope to meet pet parents in Hanover, Littlestown, Glen Rock, New Freedom, Abbottstown, Mcsherrystown, New Oxford, Seven Valleys, and Shrewsbury.

This group is to help unite Pet Parents with professional, reliable, and all around great Pet Care Providers in the area.

Pet Parents: Please understand that this group consists of several Providers in the area with different skill levels, qualifications, and availability. We are working together to get in touch with Pet Parents since Facebook limits self promotion in groups. Please post any pet care needs you have (leave dates and addresses out for safety purposes).

Pet Care Providers: This is finally our space to promote our businesses. I am considering putting a limit on the # of posts per week to make sure everyone is seen and heard. I will post those details later on. Please make a “Bio & Business” post to kick off the page and let the pet parents know who you are and what you offer. Prices are not up for debate. They may be posted, we all bring something different to the table, so our prices should reflect that. Thank you to everyone who originally showed interest in this!
