This litter surprised us with being all girls!

OSCAR: tabby female

Spayed, rabies vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, 2/3 fvrcps done so far. By time of adoption they will have their final fvrcp, microchip, and fiv/felv testing in addition.

We are currently needing 6 spays/neuters and one of the spays will consist of a double eye enucleation. Attached are 3 kittens needing altered! We need donations! These 3 once fixed will be available for adoption.

Edit 600/720 donated towards spay/neuter costs! The 720 is only for the spays/neuters and does NOT include the eye enucleation costs. We have been quoted a couple hundred upwards to 1k for the eye enucleation. Waiting on confirmation on surgical date at a facility in Roanoke for the couple hundred estimate.

Crispie is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection (gotta love senior fiv babies) however he just got dropped off at a foster home with the intent of adopting! In two weeks if all goes well they will be finalizing. They MAY be interested in one of our other kitties too 👀.

Primrose is still available for adoption!
Primrose was found as a stray, severely emaciated and covered in burns. After receiving months of care, she has made an incredible recovery and is now thriving. While she’s not particularly fond of other cats, she absolutely adores dogs and children, making her a great fit for a family with those companions.

Primrose is an independent cat who enjoys her own space, but once she warms up to you, she can be an affectionate lap cat. She’s very social with humans and loves to be around people, offering lots of love and companionship once she’s comfortable. Her resilience and sweet nature make her a truly special

She is NOT friendly to cats, but is fine with dogs and children.

Thoughts going to our President Hannah. Her cat Heebie Jeebies was just diagnosed with cancer this month and passed away in her arms at home 2 night ago. 💞

We haven't done a stanky leg update in a bit! Stanky leg was 5 weeks old when he arrived with a broken back leg. He had a recheck recently, we didn't redo an xray yet, as he hasn't gotten much bigger. His leg per the veterinarian feels like it has healed. We plan to do an xray in the new year to see how it's healed to determine if it needs amputated or not!

This is one we intercepted from our local shelter and were able to bring into a foster home 💞

A big THANK YOU to for awarding Cat Lady in Training a 2024 Senior Pet Adoption Grant. We have so far used this grant to supply him with prescription food, medications, and will be able to use this towards his last medical appointment to clear him for adoption!

Coco was an owner surrender this year, since being with us he ended up having utis, and eventually blocking. He had a PU surgery which rerouted his urethra, all to eliminate any future blockages. This is something that can make it hard to find an adopter. However, with the help of this grant offsetting costs, we were able to place him in a foster to adopt home in which supplies were provided for the initial few months. After his last check up we will be able to finalize on his adoption!
