For PET OWNERS that take their dogs to lakes and creeks, please read this warning from Morgan & Patrick Fleming.

This morning we thought, it’s so hot! Let’s go to the lake! We took our sweet Arya to the lake and had the best day playing ball and swimming around! About 30 minutes later on the drive home, we noticed her making weird noises and she threw up and pooped in the car. We called our vet on the drive and they suggested we take her in. By this point our girl couldn’t even stand. They told us she was in critical condition so we took her to the ER. By the time we got there, she was brain dead. Today was absolutely awful. We lost our fun, loving, and crazy girl to what we can only assume was a lake toxin such as blue green algae. Arya, no dog will ever replace you in our hearts. We already miss you more than you could know. I hope you’re running around like a wild girl with all the other boarder collies in doggo heaven ♥️

Ryleigh’s hormones are awry, and she believes she should have a puppy. So she is taking a toy and decided that that is her puppy and walks around the house, crying carrying her adopted puppy. First she chose a small squeaky toy to be her puppy, but has settled on a toy that has eyes, ears and a mouth. She decided to keep it under my bed.

This is an unprecedented opportunity to have your artwork showcased in a vibrant community of passionate Australian Shepherd enthusiasts.

About Us
Founded in 1957, the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) is the largest independent breed-specific club in the United States. We are devoted to preserving and promoting the Australian Shepherd as an intelligent working dog with a strong herding instinct.

About the Event
Our National Specialty is a nine-day extravaganza featuring a multitude of competitive events, including stockdog, obedience, rally, agility, and dock jumping trials, conformation and junior handling shows, tracking tests, and more. The 2024 event will be held October 11-19, 2024, in Grand Island, Nebraska, and will be our 50th National Specialty.

How to Apply
To apply for this unique opportunity, please submit your proposal to the 2024 ASCA Nationals Chair, Denise Creelman, by September 30, 2023. Your bid should include samples of your previous work and be sent to the following email: [email protected].

Bid Breakdown
Please provide a detailed bid comprising three components:
1. Cost for creating three versions of the main logo (full-color, one-color, reversed/negative one-color)
2. Cost for designing three full-color variations (stockdog, agility, rally/obedience)
3. Cost for producing a 20x24 full-color illustration based on the main logo

Artwork Specifications
The logo must be rendered as vector art and should be able to accommodate various applications, from merchandise to awards. It should be provided in 300 dpi resolution. Upon completion, all rights to the artwork will be owned by the 2024 ASCA Nationals Committee.

Selection Process
The selected artist will present three initial logo concepts to the 2024 Nationals Chair and Committee. One concept will be chosen for further refinement based on committee feedback. If none of the initial concepts meet the committee’s expectations, up to two additional concepts may be requested.

We eagerly await your submission and are excited to see how you envision representing this milestone event in our history.
